 The diagrams illustrate the phases and apparatus to make cement and
how cement is utilized in the production of concrete for construction.
 Overall it is evident that the production of cement involves 5 stages, it
is a linear process that begins/starts/initiates with the mixing of raw
materials and culminates/finishes/ends in the packaging of new
cement. Making concrete is a simpler process that involves mixing four
ingredients in a rotating concrete mixer in a single step procedure.
 Limestone and clay are crushed in a rotating crusher and the resulting
powder is then mixed before being passed through a rotating heater,
where the heat is applied externally/from outside. Once heated this
mixture travels over a conveyor belt and is ground through a grinder.
Now that the cement has been produced, it is packaged in bags
 Concrete is made up of half part of gravel, quarter portion of sand, 10%
water and 15% cement. All of these are added together in a rotating

by using grinder the final product is obtained as fine particles. This particle is
called cement and at the end packaged in the bags.
Next, cement is converted into concrete by adding different materials. Cement
is mixed with water, sand, and gravel in the proportion of 10%,25%,50%
respectively. This mixture is then put into a concrete mixer, where it becomes
final concrete which can be used for building purposes.
