CellPedia is a platform that allows users to search for information via SMS on their basic cell phones without internet access. Users text a primary keyword and secondary keyword to a short code to query CellPedia's database. CellPedia then returns curated information within 160 characters as a response via SMS. Examples of queries include getting song lyrics, dictionary definitions, weather reports and movie reviews. CellPedia can be monetized through pay per query charges, monthly subscriptions, or by charging brands for marketing through the platform. Requirements to implement CellPedia include a short code to receive SMS queries, an SMS channel to send responses, and a billing interface.
