This document provides instructions for a 6th grade science project comparing the parts of a cell to parts of a city. Students are asked to draw a map of a fictional city labeling locations A-J to represent different cell parts: A for the cell, B for the cell membrane, etc. They must also create a key linking letters to locations. On a separate page, students write sentences explaining the analogy between each cell part (nucleus, mitochondria, etc.) and its corresponding city location in terms of their similar functions. The goal is for students to demonstrate understanding of cell structures by comparing them to familiar city systems and infrastructure.
