CCPAA is dedicated towards helping Professional
Accountants with their Long-Term Development
CCPAA is an independent and not-for-profit organization - our operation is
dependent on a group of dedicated volunteers.
“Teamwork is the ability to work
together toward a common vision.
The ability to direct individual
accomplishments toward
organizational objectives. It is the
fuel that allows common people to
attain uncommon results.”
		--Andrew Carnegie

Judy Lin, Chair of National Board
Board of Directors
Our vision is to create a sustainable advantage
for our members, our stakeholders and our
communities by promoting professionalism,
enhancing professional development and
facilitating the business and investment
activities between Canada and China.
I immigrated to Canada in 2001 from China.
After settling down and establishing myself in
Toronto, I strongly feel that it is time for me to
get back to our communities and to my home
country. I felt extremely hurt and heartbroken
when I heard about the terrible stories
originating in China over the years about the
heavily polluted air, the poisoned baby formula
and the car accident involving 64 kids in a 9
seat van. I know I cannot change the world
overnight, but I do want to find a way to help
reverse these bad trends.
In 2007, I co-founded CCPAA with my
professional accountant friends in Canada.
I was re-elected in 2013 to be one of the
seven directors and the Chair of the Board
for a second 5-year term. While promoting
professionalism and education to the
community, CCPAA has provided me with
tremendous opportunities to network and
connect with Chinese professionals in the
community. The CCPAA has offered a great
platform for me to grow personally and
professionally. After 13+ year in a new country, I
have made my way across half of the globe and
officially became a Partner of Grant Thornton
LLP, a leading international accounting firm in
Canada in 2015. My growth with CCPAA plays
a large role in my accomplishments and I truly
appreciate my experience with the CCPAA
team.
As one of the co-founders and the Chair of the
National Board of the CCPAA, I am extremely
proud of what we have achieved in the past
few years. The CCPAA team is so generous and
dedicated in contributing countless personal
time in such a professional way to have driven
great things to happen, to become more and
more influential and to make such a positive
difference in our communities. I certainly look
forward to creating more great moments
for ourselves, our stakeholders and our
communities with this great team in 2015 and

Annual Conference
We have successfully organized this signature
annual event for six consecutive years since
2008. Our annual conference is particularly
designed to be the crucial gateway for
international business opportunities between
China and Canada. The annual conference:
• Disseminates in-depth information and
knowledge on particular trends in industries;
• Provides access to unique financing,
investment and partnership opportunities in
particular areas and/or industries;
• Facilitates networking opportunities with
over 180 financial and industrial professionals,
management executives, decision makers and
business owners.
With different sponsorship levels, you and your
organization can take advantage of the various
opportunities to reach your target audience by
sponsoring and participating in our scheduled
functions and seminars.

Seminars
We organize seminars regularly on topics and
skills that are key to our professional career
development. The popularity and attendance
at these seminars potentially rival that of our
annual conference. We organize four seminars
annually - these events are great opportunities
to promote your business to our community.
Gatherings
We organize informal gatherings regularly
with different professional topics and themes.
Gatherings are not limited to causal meetings, but
include groups discussions about professional
topics. These gatherings focus on knowledge
sharing about industrial trends and latest
government regulations in an informal way. Three
informal gatherings will be held in 2015 - yet
another sponsorship opportunity to expose your
organization to our professionals.
Social networking and annual career day event
Our members and guests not only thrive to be
the best that we can be in our professional career
development - we also have fun along the way!
We organize fun social/sports networking events
multiple times a year and an annual career day -
maximize the exposure of your organization by
being a sponsor!

  • 6. CCPAA Bylaw Board of Directors • A member of the CCPAA is elected to be a director with at least an affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the members at a general meeting duly called for the purpose of general election. A Board of Directors is elected with a regular term of five (5) years. • The Board of Directors appoints the President and approves the appointments of other members in the Executive Committee nominated by the President. The Board of Directors also appoints the Board of Arbitration and the Advisors in the Advisory Committee. • The Board of Directors may request at any time to conduct an internal or external audit of the financial statements of the CCPAA or to review the performance of the Executive Committee or to call for an early or regular election by calling a general meeting. • The Chairperson of the Board of Directors is elected by the members of the Board. The term of the Chairperson is no longer than that of the Board. Judy Lin, Chair of National Board Board of Directors Our vision is to create a sustainable advantage for our members, our stakeholders and our communities by promoting professionalism, enhancing professional development and facilitating the business and investment activities between Canada and China. I immigrated to Canada in 2001 from China. After settling down and establishing myself in Toronto, I strongly feel that it is time for me to get back to our communities and to my home country. I felt extremely hurt and heartbroken when I heard about the terrible stories originating in China over the years about the heavily polluted air, the poisoned baby formula and the car accident involving 64 kids in a 9 seat van. I know I cannot change the world overnight, but I do want to find a way to help reverse these bad trends. In 2007, I co-founded CCPAA with my professional accountant friends in Canada. I was re-elected in 2013 to be one of the seven directors and the Chair of the Board for a second 5-year term. While promoting professionalism and education to the community, CCPAA has provided me with tremendous opportunities to network and connect with Chinese professionals in the community. The CCPAA has offered a great platform for me to grow personally and professionally. After 13+ year in a new country, I have made my way across half of the globe and officially became a Partner of Grant Thornton LLP, a leading international accounting firm in Canada in 2015. My growth with CCPAA plays a large role in my accomplishments and I truly appreciate my experience with the CCPAA team. As one of the co-founders and the Chair of the National Board of the CCPAA, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved in the past few years. The CCPAA team is so generous and dedicated in contributing countless personal time in such a professional way to have driven great things to happen, to become more and more influential and to make such a positive difference in our communities. I certainly look forward to creating more great moments for ourselves, our stakeholders and our communities with this great team in 2015 and 04 CCPAA ANNUAL REPORT 2015
