This document evaluates and compares two web-based document collaboration tools, Google Apps and Microsoft Office Live Workspace. It provides information on the instructional goals of using such software for online collaboration and familiar document creation. Key features of each tool are outlined, like allowing teachers to create sites/workspaces to share documents and calendars. Both tools received positive reviews for being easy to use and implement, working seamlessly with familiar Office tools, and meeting the district's needs cost-effectively.
