2. Scholarship Program
To commemorate our 50th anniversary in 2013, Castle Building Centres Group Ltd.
is pleased to announce the establishment of a new scholarship program being
offered to Castle Building Centre Group members, employees and staff.
The Scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated both academic
excellence and a passion to lead and inspire positive change in their community.
The scholarships will be dispersed as three (3) $1,500.00 Scholarships and will be
awarded to selected applicants who have been accepted for September 2013 for
their studies at a recognized Canadian University, College, or Technical program.

Eligibility Requirements:
• An Academic average of 75% or higher
• Castle members and/or CBS members; employees, and their dependents;
Castle Head Office employees, and their dependents.
• The applicant must be under 25 years of age at the time of application and
entering their first or second year in post secondary education on a full time
basis. A full time student is defined as a minimum 60% of a full course load.
• All employees must have been employed with the Castle/CBS member
or Head Office for at least one year at the time of application and each
member must be a member of Castle/CBS for a minimum of twelve months
prior to submission deadline.
Scholarship (Definition)
Non-repayable sum of money presented to an eligible student to help continue
his/her studies.
Scholarships are awarded based primarily on academic merit as opposed to
financial need.
The Scholarship program may be altered, amended or discontinued at the
discretion of Castle Building Centres Group Ltd. The decision of the Independent
Scholarship Selection Committee is final and not open to appeals. A recipient is
limited to one Scholarship through Castle Building Group Ltd. per academic year.
Scholarship deadline for submission: July 15, 2013
Scholarship recipients will be notified by September 15, 2013 and awarded their
Scholarship in October 2013
3. Application Requirements
The following must be enclosed with this application:
• 500 word essay (12pt font double spaced) describing your career
aspirations and goals, extracurricular activities and community
involvement over the last few years
• Castle/CBS Member Declaration and Student Authorization Form
• Photocopy of High School Transcript, or photocopy of first year marks
if entering second year of program
• Photocopy of 2013 Admittance Form from the School
• Minimum of one letter of recommendation from either a teacher, principal,
clergy, business or community leader

enclose any of the above mentioned documentation on or before the deadline will
void your application.
