Deakin International Scholarship
Terms and Conditions
 The maximum value of the Deakin International Scholarship is 25% of the total course fees.
 The scholarship is only available for duration indicated in the offer letter for award course. Any approved Credit Transfer and
Recognition reduces the number of credit points required to complete your course and therefore reduces the total value of
your scholarship. Scholarship will not be applied to additional credit points required for course completion in the event
student fails units.
 The scholarship is applicable to the course detailed in the initial course Offer Letter. Course Transfers need to be approved
by the University. Transfer of Scholarship to the new course will require University approval. In the event of an approval,
normally the scholarship will only cover the remainder duration of the initial enrolled course and cannot be extended should
a transfer to a longer course be approved. Scholarship benefit will normally be reduced should a transfer to a shorter course
be approved.
 This scholarship is subject to quotas. Therefore an early acceptance is highly recommended. This scholarship will lapse if an
acceptance is not received within 2 weeks of this offer being made.
 This scholarship is conditional on acceptance and enrolment into an undergraduate or a postgraduate course.
 Deakin International Scholarship does not cover the OSHC or any other costs related to your studies in Australia
 Deakin International Scholarship will only be confirmed and allocated to the recipient’s enrolment record, based on the
number of enrolled credit points, after each census date; that is, after 31 March in Trimester 1, after 15 August in Trimester 2
and after 15 December in Trimester 3. Tuition fee invoices each trimester (shown in Deakin StudentConnect) will not show
the scholarship benefit until after these dates - end of April for Trimester 1, mid of September for Trimester 2 and 1st week
of January for Trimester 3
 The value of the scholarship cannot be redeemed for direct payment to the scholarship holder.
 Payments cannot be made to the recipient without an enrolment status of good standing; for example, for reasons of non-
payment of fees, or having an encumbrance on the enrolment record. If you need to undertake additional units to complete
the course (for example, repeat units), fees for the additional units will be at your own cost and the scholarship will not be
applicable to these units.
 Student must have a sustained academic performance (minimum of 65 WAM) as an ongoing requirement to sustain this
scholarship in subsequent trimesters of study.
 The scholarship is for studying full time onshore in accordance with student visa requirements.
 The scholarship is only available to students enrolled in an International Fee-paying Place.
 The scholarship cannot be deferred from the commencement date in the letter of offer and no benefit is payable or financial
credit accrued during any period of intermission.
