The Erie County Association of Township Officials <ul><li>The Erie County Association of Township Officials is offering 2 scholarships in the amount of $500 each to 2 selected students of Erie County.  </li></ul><ul><li>Applicants must be a senior, live in a Township in Erie County, and have been accepted to an accredited college, university, or school which offers a 2 or 4 year degree/certificate program. </li></ul><ul><li>Applications are available in the Guidance Office. </li></ul>

Edwards Scholarship Foundation <ul><li>$1,000 scholarship to seniors accepted to an accredited College, University, or School that offers a 2 or 4 year degree/certificate program.  </li></ul><ul><li>Applications may be picked up in the Guidance Office and must be postmarked by May 2, 2008 . </li></ul>

Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants <ul><li>up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.  </li></ul><ul><li>Application Process: Students will submit an essay on one of the two topics that appear on the scholarship page of our  website:   </li></ul><ul><li>Scholarship Deadline: June 20, 2008. </li></ul>

What do you consider to be the single most important problem that is facing society today? Why? 2. Local scholarships available in the office after Christmas… <ul><li>The Elk Valley Garden Club is offering a $500 scholarship to a senior attending either GHS or GACA.  The senior must be accepted at an institute of higher education offering either an associate or bachelor degree, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, complete the application form and submit an essay on an assigned topic.  </li></ul><ul><li>The Rebecca Kuzma Widdecombe Scholarship has a scholarship for a Girard High School senior who plans on seeking further education and has a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.  The scholarship is worth $1,000.   </li></ul><ul><li>The Girard Athletics Boosters Inc Scholarship is available to seniors that participated in varsity sports at GHS.  </li></ul><ul><li>The American Legion Post 494 Scholarship </li></ul>

Local scholarships available in the office after Christmas… <ul><li>The Girard-Lake City Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is available to Girard School District residence high school seniors who will be attending college, business, or trade school as a full time student.  </li></ul><ul><li>The Girard Federation of Teacher’s Education Scholarship Award provides $500.00 to an eligible GHS senior planning to enter the Teaching Profession.  The applicant must have been accepted into a four-year accredited college or university in the Field of Education, possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher, complete the application form, and compose an essay on “Why I am entering the Teaching Profession.”  </li></ul>
