CASTING
Diplomat’s Son
Our kidnap victim, a diplomat’s son, is in his late teens and
used to living in a sophisticated environment because his
upbringing has taken him all over the world. This makes
him over-confident when he is alone in his father’s London
flat and means that he does not take precautions or be
aware of any danger that his position puts him in. He’s
socially confident and has a group of close friends who
spend time with him in his father’s apartment. We would
like to cast someone young, late teens with a strong
personality, clean cut, well spoken and slim.
Max
We have cast a young man in his late teens who is very confident,
articulate and good in front of the camera. He has the ability to
improvise if necessary and will interact easily with the group of friends
that we have cast. He looks the part because he is blonde, smart and
of slim, athletic build.
The two friends
The diplomat’s son has two friends from his school
who come round to his apartment. They are both in
their late teens, attractive, confident and charismatic.
Neither of his friends is aware of the danger that their
friend is in. We cast people who are young in their
late teens, who are charismatic and confident. They
must be well spoken and athletic.
We cast two young teenage males who look
confident and are able to perform in front of a
camera. They both have the ability to adapt to
other characters’ actions and characteristics, as
well as to get along well with the rest of the cast.
They fit the part well as they are sufficiently
sophisticated to look like an average teenager.
Nathan & Charles
The Kidnappers
These characters are the antagonists / villains who
take the diplomat’s son as ransom for the Japanese
ornaments stolen by his father. Their faces are
covered by hoods and balaclavas to create a sense
a enigma. Their outfits should be completely blacked
out to avoid any chance of their identity being
detected, adding danger to the situation by creating
intimidating characters.
Charles & Nathan
We have cast two males, whose age and identity
will be indistinguishable with face masks on. They
are able to create deep threatening voices which
are useful when creating intimidating characters.
