Gary Beeson was chosen as the singer and guitarist for the feature band because he likes rock music and can already play instruments and sing. Jonathan Lupton was selected as the lead guitarist because he is actually in a band in real life, though he listens more to indie than rock. Scott Reed was picked as the bass guitarist because he has the right look for a rock magazine. Stuart Chinaloy will be the drummer since he is a drummer in real life and occasionally listens to rock music. Elise Phillips will be the female solo artist and singer because she can be styled to have the right look and is sometimes listens to rock music.
