Attention all professionals who
work with children and Families
C.A.S.T. curriculum was developed by multidisciplinary teams of
exceptional professionals to address perspectives on child abuse
and maltreatment, investigation and prosecution, and system’s re-
sponses to investigation and forensic techniques (from crime scene
to trial). In our San Diego Campus “Mock House” participants will
engage in scenarios involving real life cases that encourage individ-
uals to develop broader perspectives while refining collaborative
skills. Participants will learn from other professionals while strength-
ening techniques of best practices. Each two-day training module
builds on the previous, however, modules may be taken one at a
time or as needed. Travel Scholarships available see reverse for

Travel Scholarships Available
Scholarships of up to $500 may be awarded for travel and lodging
expenses of approved participants. Professionals working in the
investigation, assessment or prosecution of child abuse and/or ne-
glect cases as well as CPS workers, police law enforcement, foren-
sic investigators, and prosecutors. Applicants must work within
California excluding San Diego county, Orange County, and Los
Angeles county. Contact ivatmicaela@gmail.com for an applica-

Continuing Education Credits
This training is sponsored by The Institute on Violence, Abuse and
Trauma (IVAT) at Alliant International University. IVAT is approved
by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor con-
tinuing education for psychologists. IVAT maintains responsibility
for this continuing education program and its content. IVAT is rec-
ognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to
offer continuing education for National Certified Counselors
(Provider #5659). IVAT adheres to NBCC Continuing Education
Guidelines. IVAT is approved by the CA Board of Behavioral Sci-
ences (PCE #33) to offer continuing education for LCSWs and
MFTs. Each module meets the qualifications for up to 14.0 hours of
continuing education for MFTs and LCSWs as required by the CA
Board of Behavioral Sciences. IVAT is approved by the California
Board of Registered Nurses to offer continuing education for nurs-
es (CEP #13737). IVAT is approved by the State Bar of California
to offer Minimum Continuing Legal Education for attorneys
(#11600). CE credits approved by CA agencies are accepted in
most states.
