Marketing Communications Coordinator – Create and maintain organizational brand consistency across all platforms,
including collateral materials, advertising, digital, and signage; and plan, create and manage production and placement
of a wide range of projects, including print advertising, collateral materials, outdoor advertising and special projects.
• Planned, created and executed the first Johnson Memorial promotion campaign in Greenwood Park Mall. This
showcased our physician network and current branding campaign, resulting in high level of physician
satisfaction—a key factor in recruiting and retaining quality medical staff, as well as promoted brand in key
growth service area.
• Design, write and photograph Facebook advertising for physicians, the hospital and specific medical services,
ensuring brand consistency and measuring effectiveness and growth.
• Created and executed a campaign to introduce a new team of highly regarded physicians to the greater Johnson
County community utilizing multiple media—digital, print and outdoor advertising.
• Manage creative projects for internal departments, including a Welcome and Registration Packet for new
maternity patients given to them by their OB, which has been recognized as a highly effective communication
tool for the patient and her family. This has increased the compliance of patients to follow necessary
procedures, reduced anxiety and helped staff.
• Wrote, designed, edited, photographed, coordinated printing and mailing of an eight page, full color newsletter
which was sent to 35,000 households which CPM Healthgrades documented a trackable ROI of 25:1. Key public
communication tool with the goal of generating new patient encounters and maintain and expanding
relationships with existing patients with the goal of creating loyal customers. Special events advertised were
registered at capacity within days of the mail drop.
• Coordinate with internal departments to learn their project needs and make a plan to meet those needs on
deadline and within budget. For example, worked with Diabetes Care to plan, promote and execute a Diabetes
Symposium for the community which resulted in 95 attendees for a 5-hour public seminar.
• Manage external vendors including creative agencies, internal and external printers, promotion companies,
direct mail vendor, and freelance photographers while maintaining project budgets.
• Plan, promote and execute special events and community screenings and outreach programs, including the
largest annual community health fair in the county with over 30 vendors and several hundred existing and
prospective patients being invited to and exposed to our campus and services, one of the biggest indicators for
converting new patients.
• Coordinate hospital media relations, including writing news releases, pitching stories and acting as
spokesperson. Most recent example was a story pitched to the Daily Journal celebrating the 30-year anniversary
of the Johnson Memorial Discovery Child Development Center. Worked with director and reporter to complete
story and acted in dual role of hospital spokesperson and customer to promote service as employee benefit.
