This document describes a vocabulary intervention called "vocabulary graffiti" that was implemented in 1st and 4th grade classrooms. The intervention involved introducing vocabulary words throughout the day and having students draw pictures related to the words. Pre- and post-tests were administered to measure changes in vocabulary knowledge. Results showed significant improvements in test scores, indicating that vocabulary graffiti was effective at increasing students' knowledge of vocabulary words. While the intervention was enjoyed by students, limitations included changes in the research design and assessment tools that prevented analyzing the impact on writing. Overall, vocabulary graffiti shows promise as an engaging way to teach new vocabulary.
