Catlin had no SAP experience and needed to establish a support service as part of an SAP
implementation. Engaged to establish service. Analysed SAP solution; compiled project
documentation for support use; liaised with IT to define support operating model including
governance; and adapted existing support processes to accommodate SAP requirements.
Succeeded in completing hand over to Catlin team and achieving seamless transition to new
support model with minimal disruption at end of 30 day post-implementation warranty period.
Computer Associates were part way through a SAP implementation and identified a design
issue which had not addressed requirement to support 3 day financial close period. Engaged to
design and implement month end procedure. Analysed design solution for close; worked with
business to clarify existing month-end timings; assessed SAP month-end processes; identified
dependencies; worked with business to re-engineer processes and achieve 3 day close; and
led UAT. Succeeded in achieving 4 day saving in close procedure within 3 months timeline.
Verizon Business was undertaking an international rollout to merge company codes onto a new
SAP GL template. Engaged to manage finance team and adapt US solution for global rollout.
Analysed US solution; captured local requirements; performed / documented gap analysis;
developed SAP configuration requirements to close gaps; secured sign off from US system
owners; led configuration, testing and supported UAT; and provided post go-live support.
Succeeded in merging 73 company codes across 43 countries within aggressive timescales.
