Platanus x hispanica is a hybrid tree species native to Asia, Europe, and the United States. It can grow up to 35 meters tall with a crown 25 meters wide, and its bark is pale grey-green and exfoliates. It has long branches bearing deciduous green leaves up to 22 cm in diameter. It blooms yellow male and red female flowers in April and fruits ripen in summer, measuring 2.5 cm. The tree is tolerant of high temperatures, atmospheric pollution, and root compaction.
