ogies to deliver accessible careers programme for schools including IAG for stu-
dents and CPD for staff which will support your school in achieving its ofsted indi-
cators for careers provision in school.

2. Developing skills for employment and ensuring young people are prepared for life
beyond school is a crucial area of careers education. This programme comprises of
6 sessions (which can also be purchased individually) to develop employability/
soft skills and ensure students are ‘work-ready’ these include:

An opportunity for young people to engage directly with employers and industry,
enabling employment understanding and exploration for students. The pro-
gramme comprises of six sessions (which can also be purchased individually) in-

Profiling Programme
We provide an objective and interactive online profiling tool which helps students
understand themselves and identify their career direction. Our career recommen-
dations are based on a series of assessments which measure verbal reasoning, nu-
meracy, abstract, spatial and mechanical aptitudes. These results are combined
with the findings from further questionnaires which assess students’ career inter-
ests, workplace preferences, their talents and personality characteristics.

time assist them to make responsible and informed decisions. It gives them an
opportunity to talk with an impartial expert about their ideas, aspirations and
options.

reer consultants providing guidance discussions in line with the IAG strategy.
These are designed to assist students as they reach the key decision points dur-
ing their school/college life.
UCAS Application Courses
A series of interactive, live tutorials via our award-winning platform to support Year
12 students applying to universities through the UCAS application process. Stu-
dents are guided through the application form, receive support and guidance on
how to write their personal statement, university choices and next steps by an im-
partial professional.

Career Mentoring via an award-winning platform, providing a safe, nurturing and
supportive environment that is easily accessible.
Courses
Our award-winning platform creates a compelling learning environment and a

Our Career Fairs feature a broad range of industry sectors , we invite students,
parents and professionals to attend and explore the broad range of careers and
pathways available. Event features include:

10 to Start Competition
Groups of students compete for the honour of raising the Career Matters 10 to
Start Trophy. Teams are pledged £10 using this start-up capital to get their busi-
ness off the ground. Participants have 4 weeks to make as much profit as they
can.
Teams will be provided access to a wealth of resources and support, in person
and via our interactive technology platform including interactive workshops, tu-
torials, skills training, industry webinars, live Q&A’s and industry mentoring.
The competition will round off with a reverse careers fair where each team will
have a stand to present their work, business plan, and competition journey to in-
dustry specialists and employers.
5. Aviation Matters Competition
A twelve-week industry-led STEM aviation competition, Students will compete as
part of a group to design and build a working ‘model flying machine’. Teams com-
pete for the honour of lifting the Aviation Skills Partnership trophy and having
their model displayed at the Academy.
The competition starts with an Aviation Skills-Zone’ Event, consisting of design
and engineering workshops, seminars, mentor meet & greet and an opportunity
to assess the competition.
Students will develop and refine key employability skills – project, team-work and
business planning with a focus on engineering, aerodynamics, design, research
and presentation delivery. Teams will be provided access to a wealth of resources
and support, including interactive workshops, tutorials, skills training, industry
webinars, live Q&A’s and industry mentoring.
The competition will round off with a reverse careers fair and ‘fly off’. Each team
will present their work, business plan, and competition journey to industry spe-
cialists and employers and to demonstrate their flying machine for judging.
