Being a manager in any industry can be a fulfilling job, but it can also be a difficult one. You will need to create a good team atmosphere whilst achieving the bigger goals.
Bad managers cost businesses billions of dollars each year, and having too many of them can bring down a company. Businesses that get it right, and hire managers based on talent will thrive and gain a significant competitive advantage.

The First Ten Days of your New Job, hybrid seminar/webinar presented by Denis Curtin on November 8, 2021. Material written by Bob Podgorski. Founder of the St. Hubert Job and Networking Ministry.
Over the past few years as I've started my own business and pursued a few other entrepreneurial and startup endeavors, I've gotten a chance to observe, collaborate with, and even coach dozens of other entrepreneurs and business owners.
I began to notice that a majority of us generally fit into one of these three categories:
1) Someone in the infant stages of starting and developing their own business and having difficulty getting clients and obtaining the results they want.
2) Someone either running their own business, or with a partner, and having difficulty adjusting and operating business with a rapid increase and demand for their services.
3) Someone currently in charge of an established and successful business over a longer period of time, yet works excessively and has difficulty balancing other areas of their life ( family, health, hobbies, etc.)
With an education and background in Counseling, I've always had a knack for observing human behavior and noticing commonalities. Keeping this in mind, I'd say one of the most interesting observations I noticed was that despite the differences in 'status' or 'success' of anyone fitting in these three categories, there were MANY distinct similarities in their personality traits, beliefs, challenges, work ethic, and personal relationships.
And, of course, I became more and more aware of the similarities in MYSELF as well.
Over time, I've began to work on these challenges in my own business and have seen progress in certain areas. Moreover, I've seen TREMENDOUS success in my clients when I've implemented the concepts and strategies I intend to teach in this workshop.
And, as I kept seeing the same similarities and struggles in my conversations with other entrepreneurs over and over again, I thought that it would be incredible to have a "network" or "support" for those of us like minded people to get together and combine forces to shed light and overcome many of these challenges. I believe there is a significant amount of more power in groups of people coming together for a common goal, and ironically (myself included) many of us creative types and entrepreneurs often have the tendency to want to "do it all on our own," and consequently reject the very support we need to succeed.

The way that technology has transformed the workplace does not only place a premium on the technical skills of employees, but it also puts to test their individual interpersonal skills. In contrast to what many expect, these interpersonal skills are more highlighted and showcased as the technology used in a company becomes more advanced.
