Say the time
                                                                                 Helper words (for time)

In Swedish, you say the time by litteraly announcing that en klocka a clock / watch
"The clock is 14:25." (for example)
Klockan är fjorton tjugofem. en kvart a quarter

You can express "quarter till" or "quarter past" like this. halv half
Klockan är kvart i två. (13:45)| Klockan är kvart över två. (14:15)
Klockan är fem i två. (13:55)| Klockan är sju över två. (14:07) över past

You can express "half past" by saying "It's half three." Think about it as i till
the minutes hand is halfway to three.
Klockan är halv tre. (14:30) noon middag

You can also compound these methods and create sentences like "It's midnight middnatt
eight minutes to half seven." (6:22)
Klockan är åtta i halv sju.

Practice with these: 03:15, 09:47, 10:45, 12:00, 17:26, 23:40, 00:00

The Swedish "u" sound is quite difficult to pronounce for
    native speakers of English.
This exercise will hopefully teach you how to make that
signature "u" sound (IPA1 [y]) or close enough that you'll be
    understood.

Swedish u
1. To make the Swedish u sound, start with the English "ee" sound (like "eek!"). Make sure you exagerate
the shape of your mouth. It should look like an exagerated smile.

2. From there, squeeze the corners of your mouth together as if you were making a kissy face. Keep
saying "eee".

3. If you've made it to the center without the sound changing from "ee" to "oo", you've probably
succeeded. You can grab a native and give them a listen of your Swedish "u" to maybe get some pointers
on how you're pronouncing it.

            1. eeee                           2. ee -> uu                         3. uuuu
