The annual report of the Candlelight Christian Urdu Fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand summarizes their activities from 2015-2016. “Tell the Father to send His people” with the grace of our Almighty God, It is good initiative taken for our Pakistani
persecuted asylum seekers and refugees, those are live in fear and stress here in Bangkok, Thailand. These people
are every dying with fear and stress but still there is hope given by Candlelight, for Christian people because I have
pain for my people. Lord God has blessed me and gave me the vision and burden for serving with a caring, loving
and concerned heart for people who feels the pain and distress of the persecuted Pakistani asylum
seekers/refugees. Though the position is tough to do any work here in Bangkok, Thailand because of illegal status,
but still I did not lose hope and working for his community. May Lord God give us courage and power to do work
with Candlelight Christian Urdu Fellowship and we will take our community in the light from the dark so I will not
be tired and not to be alone in serving for winning the souls for His Kingdom. Come and prayer for Candlelight
Christian Urdu Fellowship so it grows and prosper in Bangkok, Thailand, in Jesus name. Amen

4. Introduction for Persecution Church:
Pakistan is an Islamic and religious extremist country and growing under the shadow
and the umbrella of the Religious Islamic fundamentalists. Due to this, all minorities are
facing many problems like religious persecution, forced conversion, rape minority’s girls
especially the Christians. They kidnap Christian girls and rape them first and then force
them to accept Islam otherwise they will kill their parents, brothers and sisters and the
most of the Christian girls accept Islam to save their families and live with them as
Muslim and are gang raped daily.
The others, who do not accept Islam they are brutally raped and killed by the Muslims.
They even grab Christians’ land forcedly like this, and if someone is not agreed, they
make such cases against them like Blasphemy Law under section Pakistani Penal Code
295/A-B-C so the Christians run to save their lives and the Muslim occupy their houses
and land easily.
Due to these reasons, many Christians fled from Pakistan to Bangkok, Thailand to save
their lives. They came here to Bangkok to live in freedom but here the situation is same
because Thailand Government is no the signatory with the United Nations, Convention
Relating to the Status of Refugees 1951 Refugee Convention so this country does not
respect asylum seekers, and Unite Nations High Commissioner for refugees is not giving
any financial support and food support so asylum seekers are living a misery life here in
Bangkok.

5. They cannot do any job here for their survival, if they try to get job, it is
the fear of police and immigration that they can be caught by the forces.
If they will be caught either the forces will send them to Immigration
Detention Center or to send them back to Pakistan forcedly.
In 2015, we started sending Pakistani food to Immigration Detention
Center on daily bases for the Asylum seekers. And this year 2016 we
started giving raw food to the families of the asylum seekers in IDC so
their families can also survive outside.
We even opened the Candlelight Christian Urdu Fellowship Bangkok with
the prior permission and the interest of our Candlelight Church in the USA
and it is four months already we are having prayer meetings regularly in
two different areas, Bangwa and Charan.

7. Candlelight IDC Committee:
The Immigration Detention Center ministry was established in 2015 and daily regularly basis
the cooked food was sent to the Asylum seekers in prison. Right now it is closed due to some
certain reasons but in future we wish to start again soon because people are dying with
hunger and sickness. They are eating Thai food, as this food is hot food so the IDC people are
getting sick, that is why we want to start the cooked food for IDC prisoners. There are still
health issues with the Asylum seekers in Immigration Detention Center(IDC) and their families
out of IDC are living in misery situation because most of the men (males) from the families are
in prison and it is hard to live with some children out side, their room rents, eating stuff and
other necessities are needed for them which are not possible for females and mothers to look
after the children and to go out to ask and get food from other people. So the Candlelight
Christian Urdu Fellowship also made this possible to send cooked food in IDC as well as
provided uncooked food to some of the families of the prisoners of IDC.

12. Candlelight Children’s Ministry
We have already started the Children ministry and doing Sunday School for the
Christian Asylum Seekers and Refugee Children ,Mr.Romail Yousaf goes to teach
them Bible Study and Learning the Prayers in Urdu & English in Bangwa and
Charan areas of Bangkok, We also present them milk, snacks and food most of
the time.

13. Candlelight Christmas and Children:
While the Candlelight Christian Urdu Fellowship Bangkok had their prayer meetings at Bangwa
and Charan, the Sunday School children also presented their Drama and Christians Songs
during these meeting and the gifts were distributed.

16. Candlelight Urdu Bibles Distribution:
Thanks Lord as per need of Candlelight Church Members we are able to
distribute the Urdu Bibles in Bangwa and Charan because when the
Christian flee from Pakistan they left their Holy Bible in Urdu also there,
and people do not have the Urdu Bible with them.Candlelight felt the need
of the Bible and along with the team the Holy Bibles were distributed so
the people can read/Study the Holy Bible daily.

19. Candlelight Prayer and Worship Meetings:
Candlelight Christian Urdu Fellowship Bangkok has been started from last Six months
and took the initiative to arrange Urdu prayer meeting for the Pakistani Community.
We have selected two areas as per need of the community, Bangwa and Charan. So we
go for prayer meetings there on regularly basis even the situation is so feared here but
still the work of our Lord Jesus Christ is going on with full zeal and zest in these two
areas.

20. The Candlelight Church Leaders Meeting:
Under the leadership of Senior Pastor of Candlelight Urdu Fellowship Bangkok, Thailand held a
meeting with the area Leaders to see the matters and discuss future plans and other thing for
the growth of the Candlelight Christian Urdu Fellowship Bangkok and Pastor Asif Arthur also
take leadership session in this meeting so the community develop through these sessions even.
