After reading Mexico s Illicit Drug Networks and the State Reaction, I have concluded that this
short read is highly informative and intriguing. I personally was drawn in by the horrific stories
of violence, kidnapping, and mass murders of deadly encounters, and fascinated by learning how
the state planned and responded. Author Nathan Jones, is able to illustrate why Mexican drug
cartels have been able to prolong existence while under attack by Mexico and the United States.
He is able to do so by examining and comparing two types of illicit drug networks and how they
provoke different state reactions based on their business strategy. Jones relates his discoveries to
the Arellano Felix Organization because it was one of the first Mexican cartel to be targeted by
the state and split along trafficking oriented and territorial lines [where] one survived and one did
not (p. 12). This read is significant because it allows for the government to better distinguish
between drug networks that will withstand the test of time, and those that will crumble under
pressure. Jones utilizes his findings and applied it to the novel, and the current drug prohibition

foreign bank entry on domestic banking in a developing country from the perspective of Kenyan.
Using 19 banks level data from 2001 to 2009, the authors examine the penetration of foreign banks
into Kenya and the impact on domestic banking operations. Objective of their study is to examine
the impact of foreign bank entry on domestic banking and to evaluate how the entry of foreign
impacts access to credit. The study used percentage of foreign banks as a dependent variable which
may influence the independent variables such as profitability of domestic bank, net interest margin,
loan loss reserve ratio, cost income ratio, Tier 1 capital, average lending rate, private credit to
gross domestic product, inflation and percentage of non performing loan of domestic banks.

Branagh s Hamlet is also greater than the other two since his Hamlet has more of a method to
his madness whereas Zeffirelli s does not. In Zeffireli and Olivier s interpretation of Hamlet, he
is a lot more abusive and aggressive towards the other characters; Zeffirelli s even goes as far to
rape his mother and almost have sex with her. Branagh s act three is superior in this aspect since
Hamlet is not a powerful man but is actually more of a coward and so portraying him physically
abusing other characters does not make any sense. Branagh s portrayal of the queen is also
greater than the other two. Gertrude has a lot more power in his version and is able to stand her
ground against Hamlet; she is also the only one not to have a sexual encounter with Hamlet. This
makes Branagh s act three greater because it is more realistic that the queen would be angry with
Hamlet and stand up to him rather than being submissive to him like the other two depictions. In
this version Hamlet is much more emotional. In the other two Hamlet rarely shows his
