- #8 Some nurses started in the RCN of RC Dental Corps, but all the nurses eventually ended up the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp in 1915. During WWI, 46 nursing sisters died, of a total of 3,141 who served overseas. In the Second World War, only one in nine of the 45,000 women who signed up were selected for duty overseas (10% of women served as nurses). 71 women were killed on duty.

Ltd producing Bren light machine guns on a production line on Strachan Avenue in Toronto, Ontario.[1] She can be seen as the Canadian precursor to the American fictional propaganda tool Rosie the Riveter. Geraldine Hoff Doyle (July 31, 1924 – December 26, 2010)[1] was the real-life model for the World War II era "We Can Do It" posters, an embodiment of the iconic World War II character Rosie the Riveter.
