Rwanda has made significant reforms to improve the ease of doing business, rising from 143rd to 67th in the world rankings. Rwanda introduced reforms in 7 out of 10 categories tracked by the World Bank, including simplifying business start-up procedures and strengthening shareholder protections. Entrepreneurs can now start a business in Rwanda in just 2 procedures over 3 days. Other reforms have reduced the time required to register property by 255 days. For the first time, a Sub-Saharan African country, Rwanda, led the world in reforms to improve the business environment.

An event was being held in Lisbon on October 14th for UK and Portuguese stakeholders in energy, telecommunications, and transport to discuss each country's infrastructure plans and find potential project partners.
