Caleb had a different spirit from the other spies because he fully followed God and did not rebel against him or fear people. When the other spies doubted God and feared the people in Canaan, Caleb and Joshua had faith in God's promise to give them the land, tearing their clothes in response. God recognized Caleb's faithfulness and different spirit by promising to bring him into the land and let his descendants inherit it, passing on his legacy of faith.
