Calculators can enhance math instruction by freeing up classroom time for higher-order thinking activities while teaching students how to use technology effectively to solve problems. However, some myths exist that calculators will replace basic skills or that students should learn without them as previous generations did. Educators have a responsibility to provide students with technology available in the 21st century.
