A café is a type of restaurant which typically serves coffee and tea, in audition to
light refreshment such as baked, steamed or fried snacks.
The term Café comes from the French word means, ‘COFFEE’.
Café is a usual social gathering space where we can find people doing different
works like communicating, having their food, working, etc.
Connection. We all know cafés are social places. Tourists may visit cafés not only
to chat with friends they are travelling with but also to connect with other people
around them. A café is a unique place where locals and tourists meet, without
getting in each other's way (in most of the cases).
What makes a café attractive
High quality ingredients, best brewing recipes, consistency, fresh and appealing
sweet & savory selections are keys to success.
Selection: have the most popular products in the market and something special
that makes you unique.
Seasonality: take an advantage of seasonal products and phenomena.
It is usually a relatively small place that sells non-alcoholic beverages along with a
few items of food such as sandwiches and pastries. A cafe can be located inside a
building or it can be an open-air establishment.
Why are cafes so relaxing
People usually visit café to feel refreshed and to get better ideas to do their work
better or to make their mood better or to interact with people better, etc.
Coffee shops tend to be quite warm and relaxing; there's low lighting, soft music,
and a friendly atmosphere that encourages conversation. It's also enjoyable to
study in a place that has delicious coffee and food; some places have board games
and books, too.
Why do we love café
• In simple terms…they give you exactly what you want; that jolt of caffeine that
makes you feel like you can survive the day in one beautiful delicious cup. Plus
everyone knows that coffee is part of a healthy balanced diet so you are doing
your part.
• For us, the interior space plays an important role in how the customer feels
whilst enjoying their coffee and for the business this design can impact on
operations, attracting customers and brand loyalty. The interior design is
working imperatively towards the customer experience.
Café space alignment
• The table is usually large enough to hold drinks, or maybe a small plate of food
or two, though in general, the table is small enough that full meals may not be
easily eaten on it. Café furniture tends to be slightly larger to allow patrons to
put drinks and plates of food on the desk, as well as other items.
• Here, circulation space is also most important cause in most of the cafés, there
will be no servers and in self service, many people usually keep on roaming
around so that we need to make sure that costumers must not get disturbed.
Tips to make a café looks more attractive
1.Have a breakfast counter.
2.Install corner benches.
3.Add a chalkboard wall.
4.Go for open shelving.
5.Quirky wallpapers will do the trick.
6.Get some indoor plants.
7.Go industrial.
8.Try the formula: coffee = brown.
