Fiber optics in-buildings infrastructure paper - OEA- LebanonKSU
This review paper discusses the benefits of fibre broadband and considerations for real estate developers in Lebanon; it compares different FTTx network architectures, the standardization of building network elements, the need for local legislations and describes typical FTTH deployments worldwide.
Around the world FTTH, FTTB, FTTA networks are being built. But building a fibre network is expensive. Operators want to avoid overbuild as much as possible. If they are laying fibre for different purposes, then they want to combine the efforts as much as possible. In this presentation we show the potential cost savings that can be achieved by deploying a converged fibre network.

The most common passive optical network (PON) standards in current use are Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) and gigabit passive optical network (GPON). GPON is the most widely deployed optical system in today's fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks. Why choose GPON?
This paper has been developed to provide an understanding the role of fibre optic communication technology associated with PON network infrastructure in next generation of Ultrafast Broad Band (UBB) architecture in Australia. Inside are details of technical strategies for many different PON infrastructures.
We are providing FTTH (Fiber To The Home) using GPON technology based on customer requirements. In new projects, in order to attract more subscribers and satisfy their Ethernet+VoIP+CATV triple play service demand, fiber to the home network is the most suitable solution for cable operators GEPON system consists of an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) located in the operator's central office and an ONU (Optical Network Unit) located at customer premises for FTTH connections.
Fiber to the Home: Making That Business Model WorkYankee Group
What are the technologies that will power the Anywhere Network®? As our old-generation network expires and broadband becomes more utility than luxury, many have begun to question whether a sustainable and profitable business model for fiber exists. With a virtually unlimited capacity, scalability and potential for ubiquitous-ness, the technology itself appears a sure winner in the race for the next-generation network. But what will make fiber a successful investment?
Vendors and service providers have struggled with finding a business model that works for fiber to the home (FTTH). The current single source, one service provider for one customer model is too constrained. Rather, companies must look beyond the historical strategy of investment versus competition, embrace interoperability and work together to employ an open-access model for FTTH.
In this webinar, analysts Benoit Felten and Wally Swain explore how an open-access FTTH business model works, how to optimize it and what makes it the best solution for vendors and service providers.

Syntigo is a subsidiary of Infrabel and provides medium sized and large companies with high-performance telecoms services. Our telecommunications services include WAN connectivity and internet access.
These solutions are based on a solid national network infrastructure, the unequalled experience and the unique level of know-how of our staff members and on the flexibility, creativity and speed of delivery of a young company dedicated totally to its mission.
Effective communications between employees, customers and suppliers is essential to business success. Whether an organisation has a single office or multiple premises, a suitable network and communications system plays a vital role in connecting its people; as well as presenting them with business IT systems and information.
InTechnology's managed IP network, LANnet, delivers converged data and voice services to customers' sites. LANnet provides the means for companies to have their business critical applications hosted 'in the network', providing simpler, more effective communication.
LANnet provides the infrastructure over which many feature-rich data and voice services can be delivered. A variety of connectivity options including high speed Ethernet, Leased line and Broadband services are available to connect customer sites to InTechnology's high capacity 'MPLS' core.
A single physical circuit is capable of delivering several 'layered' services to any customer location. InTechnology's layered services provide communication between company sites (VPN), to the InTechnology voice platform (Unity IP Voice), to the Internet & access to the Data Replication / Data Backup platform.
These features enable InTechnology to provide fully managed, cost effective and flexible data and voice services, to multiple business locations including head offices, regional locations and even remote workers on a single 'converged' network. By securely connecting these business locations, and providing fast and highly available access to the Internet, InTechnology provides lower management overheads and improved service levels.
