This document provides information about a learning task called "Felt Boards – Butterfly Symmetry" for students ages 5-7. In the task, students independently create symmetrical patterns on the wings of a felt butterfly outline using geometric shapes. The goal is to match the shape, size, and color on one wing to the opposite wing. The task aims to teach students about spatial sense, geometry, and symmetry.
