SGI v/s MGI
 This story is about SEHGAL and MARWAH group of
industries, who are entrenched rivals in the food and
beverage industries business.
 In a race to beat each other, they continue to launch new
products, new strategies, for which they often indulge in
illegal activities.
Sehgal group of Industries
Leading characters:-
 Vinay Sehgal
 Nishiganda Dasgupta
 Naveen Shroff
 Mukesh Tyagi
 Ritesh Sahani
Marwah group of Industries
Leading characters:-
 Dharmesh Marwah
 Parvez Merchant
 Shelly
Vinay Sehgal
 He is a wicked man, who goes to any extent in order to
earn profit by adopting unlawful means .
 He encourages corruption openly.
 As per the character, reflected in the movie, he is a self-
centred , unethical and profit-driven person.
 Even after knowing that the “JUST CHILL” drink, that was
going to be launched by their company, showed heavy
traces of pesticides in the quality control report, he was
ready to launch it, though his team members denied.
 In the end, in order to save the goodwill of the
company and prevent it from incurring further losses,
Vinay Sehgal and Marwah group, entered into a
mutual alliance.
Nishigandha Dasgupta
Personal life-
 She was going through a rough patch, as she recently had a
Divorce after a sour marriage .
 Ritesh entering her life, was a positive change, as he
became her strength and helped her in overcoming the
dark phase of her life.
 Since then, she stood by him in the ups and downs of his
life. Both of them inspired each other in performing well in
their careers.
 She helped Ritesh in gaining back his lost reputation in the
Sehgal group by coming up with the Just Chill idea.
Professional life
 She was a very strong, ambitious and a career-oriented
woman.
 Extremely loyal towards her company and can go to any
extent to prove her worth.
 She gathered confidential information of the Marwah’s new
product and strategies through shelly.
 It was Nishi’s clever tactics, that helped her in gathering
information about Marwah’s mint- based drink launch, by
fooling Parvez through a hooker.
 Often mixes her personal life with professional one,
for which she has to bear severe consequences.
 The guilt of being a part of the JUST CHILL drink
project got a bit reduced when she decided to
surrender herself to the crime branch by taking the
entire blame of the scam on herself.
 Eventually she proved to be a fighter.
Naveen Shroff
 A man, in the entire plot who stood by his principles
and values .
 His good decision-making quality, and constant
support to Vinay Sehgal, helped Sehgal group of
industries to reach great heights.
 His decision to resign the company before the drink
launch showed that his inner conscious would not let
him to be a part of such an unethical project just for the
sake of earning huge profit.
Ritesh Sahani
 A character of low profile and coward by his actions.
 He is not able to make sensible business decisions and
always takes the help of Nishi in moving ahead.
Mukesh Tyagi
 The very old friend of Vinay sehgal, who ditched at the time,
when the company was at its downfall by accepting the
bribe from Dharmesh Marwah for starting his own business
in Malaysia and in return disclosing the reason for Naveen’s
resignation.
Dharmesh Marwah
 A traditional, religious and a calm and composed
business person, who usually takes the advice of
his guru, regarding business decisions.
 Knew how to handle situations by taking right
decision at the right time and majorly turns the
game in his favour in the nick of time.
 His clever tactics of spreading the just chill drink
scam via electronic and print media and telling the
NGO’S to protest against the Sehgal’s, adversely
affected the reputation of the company.
 He was also involved in unethical practices but
comparatively lesser than the Sehgal group.
Shelly
 Though being an employee of the Marwah group, she was
working for Sehgals, by leaking the confidential information
of the company to Nishigandha Dasgupta.
Parvez Merchant
 A character who is though strong in work ethics but
gets weak before women due to his lustful nature,
which became the major cause of bringing his career
to an end, as he gets fired from the Marwah group.
 His constant offering of the job to Nishi and trying to
lure her cost him a huge amount as the information
regarding the mint-based drink got leaked, due to
which he lost his job.
Theories reflected from the plot
 Egoism theory- Treats self-interest as the foundation of
morality. It talks about I, Me & Myself.
 Psychological egoism theory- It adds to egoism theory.
To act in the interest of others if that is the only way to
promote our self- interest..
 Industrial espionage- Its a covert & illegal practice of
investigating competitors to gain a business advantage,
such as by theft, bribery, blackmail & technological
surveillance.
