The document summarizes a presentation by Ahmet Arda, CEO of Advanced Mineral Research, about rare earth mining and processing in Turkey. It provides an overview of AMR Resources, which holds exploration licenses covering 1,860 square kilometers in Turkey. AMR has identified rare earth deposits at its Çanaklı project area and begun test production. The presentation outlines AMR's mine-to-market strategy, describes the mineralogy and metallurgy of the deposits, and provides estimates of resources, recoverable products, production costs, and market potential.

13. More than 3,000 Th-U-K quantitative analyses have
been made in the pits and trenches opened in the all
resources by RS-230-BGO-Super Spec spectrometer.
Totally 1,500 mt Wire-Line Drilling has been made in
Çanaklı I and Kuyubaşı. Systematic samples are taken
from each of vertical 2.5 mt of these drillings from
these samples, totally 700 ICP-MS Whole Rock Major-
Trace Element analyses have been carried out in
Canada-ACME Laboratories.
In consequence of these works;
TREO average concentration was determined as
1,000 gr/Ton
14. In consequence of the Mineral Technology
studies made in the company laboratories
and the laboratories in the foreign
countries, it has been ascertained that;
35% of the TREO can be concentrated by
Gravitation and Magnetic Separation
methods in -700µ+15µ Fractions.
The major part of the REE minerals are in
the grain size of -15µ , and R&D studies
intended for recovery of these are on going.
15. Firstly, 2,000 grains selected in the company
laboratory for mineral determination have
been subjected to Electron Microprobe
analyses in Hacettepe University Micro
Analysis Laboratories.
Later, in an Australian company
INTELLECTION, 3 individual QEMSCAN
analyses have been made on the samples, 2
of which was from ÇANAKLI AREA and 1 from
KUYUBASI AREA.

Titanites are different from the Classical Titanites.
Density of some parts of the Titanites is higher than 4.
These parts display very little magnetic characteristics and
remain in the form of Nonmagnetic fraction.
These Titanites contain %~35 TiO2 and ~ 20% REE2O3.

all the studies, it has

21,000,000 Ton Fe3O4 (Micronized Magnetite)
MINING AND CONCENTRATOR PLANT ESTIMATED
OPERATIONAL COST :
US$ 2–2.50 per Ton
IMPORTANT NOTE :
The rate of the Recoverable Resource by Conventional Methods is 35% of the Total Resource. This
amount was obtained by numerous Gravimetrical Tests applied to our ROM Material. We are aware
of the presence of the liberated economical minerals within grain size of -15/25µ. In order to gain
these fine economical minerals, Flotation Mineral Enrichment studies are continuing. Once
successful Flotation Test-Work is achieved the Recoverable Resource would reach up to 60-70%.
25. MARKET POTENTIAL FOR AMR PRODUCTS
RARE EARTHS
As China, making the 97% of world’s total REE production, cut an important portion of its Rare Earth exports due to meet her
own increasing need, there has been an important level of supply shortage for Rare Earths in the World.
Even though Lynas Corporation and Molycorp Minerals will start production at 2012-2013, as the consumption increases
parallel to the advances in technology, it is determined that the demand will be more than the supply for the next 5 years.
AMR, at full capacity, will produce about 5.500 Ton/year REO.
AMR will be the first to actualize the production of Rare Earths from local resources in Turkey.

HYDROMETALLURGICAL
TESTWORK
For the extraction of REE, Minor Metals, and Thorium from the Heavy Mineral Concentrate that AMR is producing at Canakli 1
plant, and the Magnetite is separated, an Agreement is signed with Dr C.K. Gupta and Star Earth Minerals Pvt Ltd.
The details of the study, which will be conducted an overseen by Dr Gupta, are specified in the Agreement. 500kg representing
sample of the HMC that AMR is producing is sent to India, and the lab scale tests will be resulted within 1 month with
10kg sample.
The results of the Laboratory Tests will be submitted as a Simplified Flow Sheet and as a Preliminary Report by Dr Gupta.
In the light of the data that will be obtained from Lab Scale Tests, Pilot Scale Test-works will be conducted with the remaining
490kg, and finalized within 2 months.
