2. Hi and welcome! We do not work for
Microsoft… we work with innovation
communities in Novozymes…
…but we do
believe that
Microsoft has got
a couple of things
quite right with
Sharepoint 2013…
…we love
technology, but
we also start to
realize how
critical Social
Readiness will
be for succesful
adoption in
organizations…
3. OUR SIMPLISTIC APPROACH
Built & test

4. WHAT THEY GOT ‘QUITE RIGHT’
Office integration Mobile Open App store
Social &
Collaborative Cloud
Build your own
site easily
All of this worked almost bug-free during our trial period.
If we should bitch about a couple of things: tag cloud display was on/off, profile
picture changes took long, some site views on iPhone and iPad were flawed…
5. WHO ARE OUR COMMUNITIES, WHAT DO
THEY DO AND WHAT DO THEY NEED?
Idea Web
Cross-functional,

6. CREATING INNOVATION SITES WHICH
MEET COMMUNITY NEEDS

Test
launch
we were positively surprised how
straightforward these sites could be created
in SP13:
- lots of plug&play and drag&drop…
- App store as a great and open resource
Creating sites with appealing
social, collaborative and plug-in features
(iframes) can be learned quickly and can be
performed by beginner and medium-skilled
sharepoint editors.
10. Hi, and welcome to the
new Idea Web! Down
here you can read
latest innovation news…
We found that i-frame
embedding of short
tutorial clips creates a
great response with
test users…
11. Tiles enable captivating
overviews over idea categories
and on-going discussion activity
Gamification through top-
contributor performance bars
Widgets to corresponding
innovation content on major
social media
16. INNOVATION OFFICE DEPARTMENT SITE
department newsfeed,
instead of e-mails!
Document repository and
collaboration:
*one place, one version*
Idea discussion board…
I-frame linking to
external content
17. MOBILE VERSIONS
We tested iPhone and iPad
Worked almost flawlessly
Some site views were
bugged and did not win a
beauty contest – yet…
But OK, considering that we
work in a free beta version
iPad: Oops, were
did the i-frame go?
iPhone: screen
section displayed is
a bit small …
?
18. CONCLUSION
All in all this was a great first experience!
We are especially intrigued about:
the social & collaborative features
the ease with which we can build our own social sites
It seems Sharepoint 2013 is (almost) ready for today’s enterprise
organizations
The question is: are today’s organizations ready for Sharepoint 2013
and similar social platforms?
The key will be digital profficiency on the individual, functional and
enterprise level – adoption will be the big challenge!
19. SITES, BLOGS AND COMMUNITIES WE FOUND USEFUL TO
SHARE EXPERIENCES ON SHAREPOINT 2013
