2. "The Superhero Squad"
FADE IN:
EXT. RANDOM CITY SKYLINE – MIDDAY - ESTABLISHING
INT. SUPERHERO HEADQUARTERS FUTURISTIC LOOKING BUILDING
MORPHLING walks in carrying a box of some kind of take
out food. MISS APPEAR, SHORTCUT, and DOCTOR THUNDER
are all sitting around a round white table waiting for
him. They notice him approaching and all look up with
impatient faces.
SHORTCUT
(agitated)
Took you long enough. Where did
you go to get it china?
MORPHLING
Maybe next time you should get the
dinner. You're the one who can
teleport!
As soon as the words fall from his mouth a metal robot
claw comes crashing through the ceiling shaking the
entire foundation. Morphling drops the food and the
other heroes spring up with alertness. The claw
breaks through the ceiling into view of the camera. It
closes slightly around the chunk of ceiling and rips
it off the building throwing it into the distance.
MORPHLING
Holy mounds of metal Thunder! Its
Master Murder!
DOCTOR THUNDER
Everyone, split up.
All the heroes run in different directions. The robot
claw punches through the wall directly in front of the
camera. The face/head of the robot, with Master
Murder housed inside, peeks through the opening in the
wall and scans side to side looking for the heroes.
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE THE HEADQUARTERS

3. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
The robot is still looking into the headquarters and
suddenly Shortcut appears on the top of his head. He
telekinetically pulls a piece of re-bar from the
destroyed wall to him and attempts to smash the glass
dome that is protecting Master Murder.
MASTER MURDER
You really think you'll be able to
break that?
(laughs maniacally)
Doctor Thunder flies out of the headquarters into the
face of Master Murder's robot. Followed closely by
Morphling, who has shifted into a pterodactyl, with
Miss Appear riding on his back.
DOCTOR THUNDER
He might not be able to, but I can!
Master Murder swings his robot arms rapidly trying to
make Shortcut fall. He also tries to hit Doctor
Thunder and Morphling to stop them from getting to
him. Just as he is about hit Doctor Thunder, Miss
Appear throws up a shield between the three of them
and his mechanical arm. He collides with it and is
flung backwards slightly. Shortcut loses his balance
and starts to fall but as he heads to the ground
disappears in the blink of an eye. We see him re-appear
in the headquarters.
MISS APPEAR
Shortcut you good?
SHORTCUT
Never better! Lets bust this
blockhead!
CUT TO:
INT. INSIDE THE HEADQUARTERS - CAMERA BEHIND SHORTCUT
– THIRD PERSON VIEW OF FIGHT
Shortcut starts to walk toward the hole in the wall to
rejoin the fight when an alarm starts to blare in the
headquarters. Sirens are clamoring and red lights are
flashing, a huge TV drops from the ceiling to the
right of hole in the wall.

4. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
SHORTCUT
Thunder! We are getting another
distress call!
DOCTOR THUNDER
See what that is about.
The TV drops down to full size and THE MAYOR, a man in
his late 50s with graying hair and a faintly wrinkled
complexion, speaks to Shortcut from a messy office. A
commotion of some kind can be seen out the windows of
his office.
THE MAYOR
Shortcut, you and the rest of The
Superhero Squad need to get
downtown as soon as possible!
Master Murder's partner in crime
Kid Killer is reeking havoc on our
peaceful people.
SHORTCUT
Mayor, Master Murder is here
fighting us at headquarters we
can't all go there at once or
he'll destroy our layer.
THE MAYOR
Well at least one of you has to
come help us Kid Killer is kicking
our keisters. We need a little...
The Mayor is cut off by a smoke bomb flying through
his office window. He looks at the smoke bomb then
quickly back up to the camera with a face of fear
right as the bomb goes off and fills the room with
thick gray smoke.
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE OF HEADQUARTERS – THIRD PERSON VIEW OF
FIGHT WITH HEADQUARTERS IN BACKGROUND
Shortcut comes running to the center of the room from
the left side.
SHORTCUT
Holy double dual Thunder! We need
to stop both Master Murder and his
fiendish friend Kid Killer before
its too late.

5. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
DOCTOR THUNDER
You're right Shortcut! Take
Morphling and get downtown before
anything gets to dramatic over
there.
Morphling hears this conversation and flies, while the
camera follows, with Miss Appear still on his back
into the building. Miss Appear steps down and walks
to the hole in the wall to get as close to the action
as possible. Morphling shifts back into a human and
looks at Shortcut. Shortcut places his hand on
Morphling's shoulder, they both nod and disappear from
sight.
CUT TO:
EXT. DOWNTOWN CITY AREA – ROOF OVERLOOKING STREET
Shortcut and Morphling appear out of thin air and run
to the edge of the building to get a view of what is
going on below them. The camera follows there view
and we see KID KILLER riding a hover board over the
street throwing smoke bombs and flash bang grenades in
all directions.
SHORTCUT
We gotta get over there and stop
him.
MORPHLING
Meet you there.
Morphling shifts into a hawk and takes off in the
direction of Kid Killer. Shortcut watches him fly for
a moment with a smirk on his face then disappears.
CUT TO:
EXT. VIEW FROM THE STREET BELOW KID KILLER – LOOKING UP
Shortcut appears below Kid Killer and is looking up at
him. Kid Killer notices his appearance and speaks
into a blue-tooth on his ear.
KID KILLER
The squad just split up and are
thoroughly distracted. Finish up
your part before we get mangled
out here.

6. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
CUT TO:
INT. OFFICE BUILDING – IN AN EMPTY OFFICE WITH ONLY A
DESK
RAVEN, a girl with black hair, dark clothes and
makeup, picks the lock to the office door and walks
in. She has a laptop bag slung over her shoulder and a
blue-tooth in her ear.
RAVEN
I'm working on it. Just keep them
distracted for as long as you can
idiot.
CUT TO:
EXT. DOWNTOWN CITY STREET
Kid Killer looks down at Shortcut and throws a grenade
right at him. It flies about halfway to Shortcut
before he stops and throws it back with his mind. The
grenade hurls towards Kid Killer who dodges it at the
last second. Morphling is floating right above Kid
Killer's head and about to shift into a rhino and drop
on him when Kid Killer sees him and shoots an arrow
through one of his wings. Morphling starts to fall
uncontrollably. Shortcut sees this happen and
disappears from view, re-appears in midday air, grabs
Morphling and they both disappear once more.
KID KILLER
One of them is injured time to hit
em where it hurts.
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE SUPERHERO SQUAD HEADQUARTERS
Doctor Thunder is punching the head of the robot
trying to break through to Master Murder. Meanwhile
Miss Appear is throwing up shields to protect Doctor
Thunder from attacks by the robot arms.
MASTER MURDER
Time to break out the big guns.
Just then the shoulders of the robot both lift
revealing two rows of five missiles on each side, ten
missiles in all. Miss Appear sees them first and
yells to Doctor Thunder.

7. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
MISS APPEAR
Thunder! He's got missiles.
MASTER MURDER
That's right I do and I going to
blow up the ten most populated
buildings in this city!
Master Murder turns and faces the city and the
missiles shoot off one by one heading toward the city.
DOCTOR THUNDER
Miss Appear turn on the comm.
System.
CUT TO:
INT. INSIDE HEADQUARTERS – VIEW OF FIGHT AND MISS
APPEAR
Miss Appear runs over to a desk and hits a green
button and turns to face Doctor Thunder, she gives him
a thumbs up.
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE HEADQUARTERS – CLOSE ON DOCTOR THUNDER
Doctor Thunder puts a finger to his ear.
DOCTOR THUNDER
Shortcut can you hear me? Come in
Shortcut.
SPLIT SCREEN
Doctor Thunder on one side – Shortcut on the other.
Shortcut turns to face the camera and puts a finger to
his ear.
SHORTCUT
Yes I hear you Thunder. What's up?
DOCTOR THUNDER
There are ten missiles headed
toward the city we need to stop
them. Leave Morphling to deal
with Kid Killer and we will get
them.
SHORTCUT
Roger that.

8. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
SPLIT SCREEN ENDS
Shot slides to just show Shortcut. Shortcut turns and
sees Morphling with an arrow through his arm laying on
the rooftop he teleported them to.
SHORTCUT
There are missiles headed for the
city. Can you handle Kid Killer
on your own while I stop them?
Morphling sits up and grabs the bottom of the arrow
and breaks it off. He grabs the top and pulls it out
of his arm. Shortcut is looking down at him with a
smirk on his face.
MORPHLING
Did you really think I would let a
little arrow stop me?!
Morphling reaches up with his good arm and Shortcut
catches his hand and pulls him to his feet. Shortcut
grabs his good arm and teleports him to the street
then disappears just as fast.
CUT TO:
EXT. VIEW OF CITY FROM A DISTANCE OVER A BAY –
MISSILES FLY INTO FRAME
All the missiles are headed for different buildings.
Doctor thunder is flying quickly behind them trying to
catch up. Shortcut flashes into the frame next to a
missile and grabs it. He uses telekinesis to pull
another one to him and touching both missiles he
disappears again and takes the two missiles with him.
Doctor Thunder pushes forward and grabs one of the
missiles. With his super strength he is able to
redirect it into the bay below him and it explodes
when it collides with the surface of the water.
DOCTOR THUNDER
Three down. Seven to go.
Thunder flies off after another missile.

9. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
CUT TO:
EXT. OUTSIDE HEADQUARTERS
Miss Appear is keeping Master Murder busy by turning
invisible and putting shields up right next to him
that push him the other direction. Shortcut appears
behind Master Murder with the two missiles aimed right
at him. As soon as he appears they both continue
flying and explode in Master Murder's face. He is
blown over. Shortcut looks at Miss Appear when she
reappears and gives her a wink and a grin. She
chuckles and looks down at Master Murder. There is
only slight damage done to the dome of the robot so he
stands up and goes after Shortcut but he is already
gone and so is Miss Appear. That is when a force field
smacks the front of his dome pushing him backward.
MASTER MURDER
(speaking into
blue-tooth)
Raven!! How much longer do you
need us to keep them busy?
CUT TO:
INT. OFFICE WHERE RAVEN IS
Raven is typing furiously on a laptop at the desk in
the office.
RAVEN
I've broken into their server I
just have to get past the internal
security and wire the money to our
accounts.
CUT TO:
EXT. DOWNTOWN STREETS
Kid Killer looks confused and lost in the conversation.
KID KILLER
(speaking slowly
confused)
Okay.. so how long till the money
is transferred?
Kid Killer is hovering closer to the ground than
before and Morphling comes flying out of nowhere in
the form of a black panther. Morphling hears Kid

10. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
Killer talking about the money transfer and after he
knocks Kid Killer off his hover board shifts back into
a human to tell the others.
MORPHLING
(with finger to ear)
Guys this isn't just an attack.
They're robbing someone too.
CUT TO:
EXT. CITY IN BACKGROUND MISSILES STILL FLYING TOWARD
IT ONLY 5 NOW
Doctor Thunder has just directed a third missile into
the bay when he hears Morphling over the comm.
DOCTOR THUNDER
How do you know?
CUT TO:
EXT. DOWNTOWN STREETS
MORPHLING
I heard Kid Killer talking into
his blue-tooth asking when the
money would be transferred.
CUT TO:
INT. INSIDE HEADQUARTERS
Miss Appear reappears next to the hole in the wall
hiding from Master Murder's view.
MISS APPEAR
Well we know Master Murder isn't
transferring money because he is
right here.
CUT TO:
EXT. RANDOM BUILDING ROOF
Shortcut appears out of nowhere.
SHORTCUT
And we know Kid Killer isn't smart
enough for that so who is left?

11. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
SPLIT SCREEN
The screen is split to show all four of them at once.
ALL
RAVEN!
CUT TO:
EXT. OVER BAY - CITY IN BACKGROUND – MISSILES STILL
FLYING
Doctor Thunder is floating above the bay.
DOCTOR THUNDER
(into comm.)
We need to get one of these
knuckleheads to tell us where she
is.
CUT TO:
EXT. DOWNTOWN CITY STREETS
Morphling is standing over Kid Killer who is still
down after Morphling knocked him off his hover board.
MORPHLING
(smiling devilishly)
Leave that to me I'll crack this
creep in an instant.
Morphling looks down at Kid Killer who is looking up
at him with worry in his eyes. Morphling kneels next
to Kid Killer.
MORPHLING
Tell me what I need to know and
I'll go easy on you and Raven.
KID KILLER
I'll never tell you anything!
Morphling changes his hand into a bear claw and rests
it on Kid Killer's chest.
KID KILLER
(panicked)
Okay okay I'll tell you!

12. "The Superhero Squad" 2.
CUT TO:
INT. OFFICE WHERE RAVEN IS
Raven is still typing away at her computer when
Shortcut appears behind her. She doesn't see him yet.
SHORTCUT
Whatcha doing there Raven?
Caught off guard Raven spins around to look at him and
jumps up off the chair when she does. Shortcut grabs
her arm and they vanish.
CUT TO:
INT. POLICE STATION
Doctor Thunder, Morphling, and Miss Appear are already
there with Master Murder and Kid Killer in cuffs.
Shortcut and Raven appear next to the rest of the
Superhero Squad. A cop steps forward and slaps cuffs
on Raven. Another cop unlocks one of the cells and the
squad pushes them all inside.
DOCTOR THUNDER
Good work gang.
MORPHLING
Can we go eat now?
SHORTCUT
I'll get us some food and meet you
guys at headquarters.
Shortcut disappears and the rest of the squad smiles
and slowly walks outside.
FADE OUT.
