This document provides information about a symposium and workshop organized by the Pulmonary Doctor Association of Riau Islands (PDPI) branch. The event aims to improve doctor and healthcare worker competencies in respiratory diseases, especially in facing the ASEAN Economic Community. It will feature accredited sessions on updating pulmonary and respiratory emergencies, early detection and management of lung cancer, and management of intrathoracic infections. The program includes registration details, session topics, speaker information, and exhibition/payment details. The goal is for the scientific meeting to benefit and contribute to improved respiratory disease services.

2. Pada saat ini seharusnya penyakit infeksi
menular sudah bukan merupakan masalah
lagi di Indonesia namun kenyataannya
dalam praktek sehari-hari penyakit ini
masih mendominasi kunjungan ke rumah
sakit. Ironisnya Indonesia yang dikatakan
sudah berhasil dalam program MDG's, harus
menelan pil pahit setelah baru- baru ini
WHO menetapkan Indonesia berada
diurutan ke-2 prevalens tuberkulosis setelah
India, sehingga untuk menjawab
keterburukkan tersebut, Perhimpunan
Dokter Paru Indonesia (PDPI) cabang
Kepulauan Riau melaksanakan Simposium
dan Workshop yang terakreditasi IDI,
dengan tema “Update Pulmonary Respiratory
Emergence and Lung Disease in Daily
Practice”, sebagai upaya peningkatan
kompetensi dokter dan tenaga kesehatan
dibidang penyakit respirasi, khususnya
dalam menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi
ASEAN. Yang dimana semoga pertemuan
