The delay of the school term in China, caused by the Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,
reinforced the importance of remote teaching. The latter enabled teaching operations to continue
nationwide and provided colleges and universities with opportunities to carry out education and teaching
reforms that are also aligned with the rapid development of technology. Upon considering remote teaching
operations in China University of Geosciences, Beijing, this paper puts forward recommendations for
teaching and education management practices. We propose that colleges and universities break free from
the restraints of traditional teaching methods, establish a security system of online courses, offer high
quality online contents, and accelerate the construction and sharing of effective courses.

Understanding the UGC Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Higher Education.pdfICS Career GPS
The UGC Guidelines for Multidisciplinary Higher Education aim at facilitating the transformation of all higher education institutions into centres of multidisciplinary learning.
• The monitoring and evaluation of the institutional processes require a carefully structured system of internal and external review. The NAAC expects the Institutions to undertake continuous Academic and Administrative Audits (AAA). This presentation is intended to serve as advisory to all accredited HEIs who volunteer to undertake AAA. The pros and cons of this process are also highlighted. Academic and Administrative Audit is the process of evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative procedure. It includes assessment of policies, strategies & functions of the various administrative departments, control of the overall administrative system, etc. This checklist gives an overview what the audit committee members may look into while visiting an institution for this purpose. It invariably follows the Quality Indicators Framework prescribed by Accreditation Council in India.
Essential Elements for Optimising the Pedagogical FrameworkAJHSSR Journal
Pedagogy links theories and beliefs about teaching and learning to teaching practice in a
consistent and coherent way. The two broad concepts of teaching and learning have the clearest lines moving to
pedagogical applications. To achieve these values, effective teaching must be practiced by having teachers and
students work together. Educators must use various teaching methods in order for the students to have the
interest to learn and motivated to participate in class. The study aims to achieving an educational pedagogical
framework build on educational practice and experiences taken into consideration the feedback and feedforward
obtaining by the students during the course study and after the graduation. To sum up, the framework is
a continuous process that should be regularly reviewed and monitored. Staff/student liaison encourages the
mechanism of Feedback and feed-forward by obtaining students` feedback and communicating action taken in
response to feedback. To ensure validity and enable reliability of assessments, teaching objectives, modules and
learning outcomes must be analysed to establish the most appropriate assessment and feedback methods. The
HEI should encourage opportunities for staff to build good links with industry, government and employers so
that staff can contribute their knowledge to relevant partners in business and industry to benefit from the
opportunities of continuing professional development.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Concept Note
What is an Outcome Based Approach?
As a part of quality initiative UGC recommended
objectives set for improving quality of Higher
Education Institutes. It was recommended that the
Higher Education should ensure the outcomes have to
expand beyond disciplinary knowledge and include
lifelong learning, employability skills,
entrepreneurship skills, promote linkage between
academia with industry, and develop community
engagement skills at the end of the graduation of the
student. A learner centric curriculum is encouraged in
higher education through Outcome Based Approach .
An Outcome Based Approach means identifying what
students can achieve and focuses on ensuring that they
do achieve those outcomes. The transition is from what
is taught to what is learnt by each student.
An Outcome Based Approach starts with the end in
the mind through the lens of the students. The
curriculum stresses on what is important for students,
achievement of students’ goals and the alignment of
teaching with assessments. One of the intense benefits
of Outcome Based Approach is the sense of clarity
that it brings to the learner and the learning situation.
The Outcome Based Approach empowers students to
choose what they would like to study and how they
would like to study it. The Outcome Based Approach
is more directed and coherent as against output based
curriculum. There is continuous development through
direct and indirect assessment towards student
learning. The teaching, learning, assessment is from
perspectives of students. Thus the graduates are more
relevant to industry and other stakeholders.
