14. GALVANIC (Iontophoresis)
Galvanic ionization is an electrophysical process in which electrically charged particles
(ions) are shifted through a body. Depending on the amount of electrons proportional to the
amount of protons, an ion may be charged negatively or positively. Based on the principle
of electromagnetism, ions with equal polarization repel each other, while oppositely polarized
ions attract each other.
The electromagnetic effect of the galvanic ionization is applied in the so-called iontophoresis,
a biophysical procedure in which specially ionized substances are shifted though several

15. ULTRASOUND (Sonophoresis)
Ultrasound is characterized by sound waves with a frequency above the region audible
for human beings. The amount of vibrations per second is referred to as frequency and
measured in Hertz (Hz).
The ultrasonic waves produced by the REX-KARA Face & Body Lifter permeate the skin
deeply and reach even the lower skin layers in this process. They exert a smooth pulsating
pressure on the skin tissue, thus activating the self-regeneration of the skin. The blood

22. Application of the
REX-KARA PREMIUM BEAUTY SYSTEM
The operation and application of the REX-KARA Face & Body Lifter is quite easy thanks to the
five preset skin care programs.
w Switch on the device, select a skin care program and adjust the desired intensity.
w Put a not to small amount (about the size of a pea) of REX-KARA Effect Skin Care gel
or serum onto the treatment head and work it into the skin smoothly.
Please regard that there is always enough gel or serum between the treatment head and the skin in order
to achieve the optimal effects.
w Take the treatment head slowly over the skin. Ideally, you remain about 5-10 seconds
on each skin area, or rather 10-20 seconds on skin areas that you want to treat more
intensively, such as skin impurities, wrinkles and lines or fat pads. Treat one skin section
after the other like this.
Please regard to touch the metallic contact plate on the rear side of the handle with your executing hand
when applying programs 1 and 2 in order to close the galvanic micro current circuit. If you treat another
person, you must touch her with your free hand furthermore in order to close the galvanic micro current
circuit.
w Depending on the application or rather the sensitivity of the skin, you may adjust the
intensity of the treatment individually and change it at any time, even during the
treatment.
w In order to control the treatment duration, the REX-KARA Face & Body Lifter turns off
