2. This law has been categorized into
three chapters
• Chapter (1) Title and Definition
• Chapter (2) Objectives
• Chapter (3) General Provisions
• This law has been enacted and in 1st April , 2014.
• This law is 4th year of first five year short term plan
from 2011-2012 to 2015-2016.
3. General Definition
• National Plan: Set of plans of action of Union Government
for socio-economic development of the country. It could be
sectorally or regionally or country as a whole.
• Which includes 20 years long term plan, 5 years short term
plans and annual plan which is drawn upon every financial
year.
• Different types of plan will also coverage human resource
development plans, project plans, industrial zones, SEZ and
Urban plans, industrial sector development plans,
investment development plans, rural development plans,
boarder areas development plans.
• Ultimately, all the plans must be complementing each other
and develop in holistic approach.
4. For calculation of GDP Growth
• Basic Year Price Index-
- Price index of commodities and services of
2010-2011 fiscal year.
• Yearly Price Index-
- Price index of commodities and services
which has occurred according to every fiscal
year.

• - By taking as a basic of 2010-2011, real GDP
growth has been targeted to project into 9.1
%.
