EBAC was launched in 2006 to reduce business crime like shoplifting and anti-social behavior in Exeter. It works closely with local businesses, police, and CCTV to share intelligence and coordinate responses. Membership has grown steadily each year. Crime levels have significantly decreased since launch, though challenges remain from professional theft rings and anti-social behavior. Looking ahead, EBAC aims to further address issues in the nighttime economy and expand its model to support other city centers.
