Target Group
The apparel buyers in India are generally of all age
groups, but for our survey we targeted the people
from the age group of 18-50 and above.
Retail sector – Apparel
The Indian retail industry undergoes major
revolutions. Retailing in India is gradually becoming
the next boom industry. In India, there will be the
fastest growth in retailing and real estate. The
consumer buying patterns and behavior are
changing steadily. The growth of India's retail sector
not only limited to urban areas but also growing in
rural areas. In the next five years, it is expected
that, India's retail industry will expand more than
80%.
• From the graph, it can be seen that the
three brands i.e. lifestyle, Shoppers Stop
and Westside are more preferred and are
highly satisfied by target audience. They
lie between the axis of more preferable
and highly satisfied.
• Pantaloons got neutral response in terms
of satisfaction and preference which is
(5,6) respectively.
• Brand Factory got very poor response
from audience i.e. (4,2) on the scale of 1-
10 which is less from the others brands
for both preference and satisfaction.
• Shoppers Stop (9), Lifestyle (8) and
Westside (7) are on the side of high price
scale whereas Brand Factory (3) is on the
side of low price scale for the prices of
apparel charged by them.
• Pantaloons again got neutral response for
Quantity and Price i.e. (5,6) on the scale
of 1-10. That means this brand keeps
balance between the prices they offered
for the numbers of apparels one can get.
• Westside and Brand Factory are on the
side of more quantity one can get from a
min. purchase of Rs 2000/- whereas
Shoppers Stop and Lifestyle are on the
side of less quantity been offered by
them.
• Lifestyle (7), Westside (8) and Brand
Factory (9) offers more rewards i.e. Cash
discounts, cash points, Exclusive
shopping hours etc. whereas Shoppers
Stop and Pantaloons offers moderate
rewards.
• All brands except Shoppers Stop are on
the side of easy to redeem (loyalty
points) whereas Shoppers Stop’s points
are slightly difficult to redeem.
• Westside, Lifestyle and Brand Factory
are the brands which offers more
rewards and also easy to redeem loyalty
points.
