This document summarizes the key arguments for why above-the-line advertising will remain important. It argues that we have become too obsessed with new media and technologies and have overlooked the effectiveness of mass reach advertising. It notes that most people spend far more time with traditional media like TV than online. It also shows that occasional and non-buyers make up a large portion of brand sales and that focusing only on loyal fans will not drive business growth. The document concludes that above-the-line advertising is still necessary to reach mass audiences cost effectively.
The document outlines a proposed below-the-line communications strategy for Mead Johnson's Enfakid A+ and EnfaMama A+ brands. The strategy aims to generate awareness, recall, differentiation and trial through integrated branding and promotions at kindergartens, schools, magazines and cinemas. Key elements include kids play area branding, sponsored school materials, pediatrician sessions, outdoor branding, and magazine inserts and sampling at movies. The approach focuses on affordable branding opportunities to build the brands over time through collaboration between the agency and client.
The document discusses the benefits of meditation for reducing stress and anxiety. Regular meditation practice can help calm the mind and body by lowering heart rate and blood pressure. Studies have shown that meditating for just 10-20 minutes per day can have significant positive impacts on both mental and physical health over time.
The document provides advice for product management and development. It emphasizes the importance of iterative development, user testing, and technical processes like source control and continuous integration. It also stresses focusing on user needs, using open source tools when possible, and measuring key metrics like user retention and traffic sources.
The document discusses the benefits of exercise for mental health. Regular physical activity can help reduce anxiety and depression and improve mood and cognitive function. Exercise causes chemical changes in the brain that may help protect against developing mental illness and improve symptoms for those who already suffer from conditions like anxiety and depression.

The document discusses crossing a chasm and changing rules due to younger generations. It notes that technology breaks shackles and that knowledge and skills matter more than information. It then discusses leadership, culture, and technology in relation to Injoos, an integrated communication and collaboration platform that allows teams to collaborate on documents, have discussions, share calendars and profiles, search documents, and hold web conferences. It is meant to be enterprise-ready and help companies take initiatives during downturns to provide a launchpad for future success.

You have seen the ads where Android based devices like to brag about how awesome their multitasking is and now even the iPhone claims to have multitasking. Unfortunately it’s pseudo-multitasking borrowed from Android, but fear not. Android has “real” multitasking as well. It’s easy to do, but even easier to screw up. In this talk you’ll learn how to do it right, and how to do it without killing a phone’s battery. We’ll discuss the dreaded “P” word (polling), as well as alternatives such as Android’s cloud to device messaging and persistent connections.
The document summarizes the speaker's experience with developing and improving the architecture for a Ruby on Rails application hosted on a customer's VMware infrastructure. It describes initial flaws with logging and database issues. It then discusses efforts to improve the architecture using tools like Chef but facing challenges, and moving to a model of customizing VMs using Capistrano scripts. Key lessons learned include the importance of monitoring performance, being aware of virtualization impacts, and hiring strong technical staff.

The document is a calendar showing months from January 2010 through January 2011. Each page displays a month's calendar with dates, days of the week and includes the month and year. The calendar is formatted in a grid with weeks running across pages to display full months consecutively.
A great business slogan should be short (5 words or less), mention the brand about half the time, use declarative or imperative sentences, and often use rhetorical devices like alliteration or metaphor. Analyzing top slogans of all time found they fit this model, such as "Just Do It" (Nike), "Where's the Beef?" (Wendy's), and "Think Different" (Apple). An effective slogan creates the intended brand impression in a concise way.
This document provides guidance for a lesson teaching 4th grade students how to write engaging openings for expository writing about inventions. The lesson introduces students to slogans from famous inventions and identifies elements that make them memorable. Students then work to craft slogans for their own inventions. The lesson compares the "who, what, when, where" elements of narratives and expositions and has students answer these questions in their opening paragraphs to draw readers in without revealing later details. Assessment and modifications for English learners are also outlined.
Click this bar to view the full image.
Kimberly Clark, Pepsi, Sumsung, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Procter & Gamble, British American

TCM, MiR, MSV, Activate, MC…
