- 8. The first stopwas a layover in Amsterdam.
- 9. It was ChristmasTime and Drugs were Legal!
- 10. Nancy Reagan saysNo to all of these people.
- 11. The airport inSpain was not as festive as Amsterdam.
- 12. But the vespaswere adorable.
- 13.
- 14. After a couplehours of aimless wandering, I found my friend Adam Katz at the Hostel.
- 15. He is agentleman and a scholar.
- 16. But he willattack you without warning.
- 17. The hostel didn’thave much...
- 18. But they hadmany suggestions for entertainment.
- 19. For instance, wecould go to the theatre.
- 20. Or we couldspeed through Spanish Chinatown.
- 21. I decided toget drunk off of sangria while Adam watched.
- 22. The bar ownerliked us because we ~tipped~.
- 23. After drinking, wechecked out some local grafitti.
- 24. Then we wentto sleep. Note: Adam bought pajamas in Spain, and they turned out to be women’s tights.
- 25. In the morningwe walked down Las Ramblas, the most famous street in Spain…
- 26. … And wegot a Spanish breakfast of tortillas patatas and tomato-covered toast.
- 27. Once we weredone, we looked around…
- 28. … And wefound a public market!
- 29. One of thetables at that market sold MONEY!
- 30. … Which iskind of silly.
- 31. Here is Adamshowing off the secret Jewish money that all Jewish people hide in their shoes. He bought some at one of the money tables, and apparently it’s from 14 th century Spain.
- 32. After buying money(?), we walked down Las Ramblas some more...
- 33. … Enjoying allof the festive Christmas decorations along the way.
- 34. This is oneof them, I assure you.

- 36. Why is everyonestanding around watching nuns?
- 37. Are these oldmen going to pole vault?
- 38. Oh, I getit! It’s the Feast of the Immaculate Conception!
- 39. Nice going, lady! We salute you.
- 40. After the ceremony,we stopped at a curious store...
- 41. ...That sold onlycandy!
- 42. The streets arereally crowded in Spain...
- 43.
- 44. This is whysome consider Barcelona the pickpocket capital of the world.
- 45. I say “some”because I have no proof of this.
- 46. Eventually Adam andI stumbled upon a Christmas Market.
- 47. A Spanish child’sfavorite kind of toy is one that makes lots of nightmares.
- 48. This is the “Catedral Basílica de Barcelona”
- 49. Adam couldn’t goin because it’s a temple for a false god.
- 50.
- 51. Man, Catholicism isn’tthis morbid in America...
- 52. The cathedral wasstill under construction...
- 53. ...But the roofhad a pretty cool view.
- 54.
- 55. Adam and Igot hungry after churchin’, so we went to an eatery.
- 56. I got somemore patatas bravas.
- 57. And a Fantain a weird bottle.
- 58. Once we werefull, Adam and I took a taxi to the cruise ship…

- 60. We checked intothe Cruise Ship. I continued to act like a tourist.
- 61. “ This isthe most decadent thing I’ve ever done.” “ ...”
- 62. The ship appearedto have everything we needed.
- 63. “ Our roomis a little high up on this…14 floor ship!”
- 64. But we werestill able to get to our room.
- 65. “ So they’reNOT putting us in cargo?”
- 66. We asked Glenn,the ship photographer, what we could do onboard.
- 67. He said theship had many clubs and bars.
- 68. And an artgallery.

- 70. And a performancetheatre!

- 72. And, of course,we could always hang out with the other retirees on the boat…
- 73. But we decidedagainst that.
- 74. Instead, we wentto eat at the buffet! Kosher Delicious
- 75. After dinner, weused one of the omnipresent germ dispensers to clean up.
- 76. And we headedoutside to say goodbye to Spain.

- 78. Finally, we endedthe night by listening to a cruise musician play the greatest hits of the ’60s and ’70s.
