The document announces a series of events from June 13 to July 11 in Bracciano, Italy to encourage intergenerational exchange and amateur film culture. The events include workshops where children ages 4-16 will learn weaving, storytelling through images and filmmaking using techniques like splicing Super 8 film to create new stories. There will also be an workshop on shadow and light techniques in art for children age 14 and up. The workshops are 3 hours and cost €8 for the first child and €6 for additional children. A minimum of 10 children is required for each workshop.

production company Suricata Film, offers to the municipality of Bracciano a va-
riety of events to strengthen the connection with the amateur cinematographic
culture of our territory, and to encourage the exchange between generations and
different cultures
Every thursday , from june, 13 to july, 11
WEFT
The kids will be approached to the idea of warp and weft, and will be invited to create wefts
with their own body and then, and under the supervision of the staff, to realize a paper or car-
dboard weft with collage or cartonnage techniques, a little gift to bring home.
CREATE A PLOT
Children (from 4 to 6 y.o.) will have to create stories with drawings and collages starting from
the pictures realized in the past century throughout the world taken from the archive Nosar-
chives.com.
Just like a treasure hunt, the kids will have to find and choose the landscapes and faces that
they find interesting and, under the supervision of the staff, unleash their imagination;
Children (from 6 to 10 y.o.), divided in couples, will be invited to choose some slides to create
with them a little story that will be projected at the end of the workshop.
CINEMATOGRAPHIC WEFT
Workshop for children from 11 to 16. Under supervision of the staff, the kids will have to create
original stories using Super8 cinematographic films. The children will be approached to the ci-
nematographic world and to the cinematographic post-production through some basics no-
tions. They will be able to edit the film by cutting it and making splices to create totally new
stories that will be projected at the end of the workshops. The realized stories will be digitize
so that the young authors will be able to bring home a DVD ( 10E for each dvd will be request)
ATELIER “SHADOWS AND LIGHTS, THE RESPECT OF THE SUBJECTS”
The partecipants (from 14 y.o.) will be able to approach and explore the china and brush te-
chniques and the using of lights and shadows that “brings shadow in light and to the unfolding
of the subject”

€ 8 the first child, € 6 for the others
The length of the workshops is 3 hours: 9.30 – 12.30 and 16.00 – 19.00 p.m.
The workshops will be held for a minimum of 10 children.
