Despite a minor dip in July, 2017 has seen a
sustained increase in inventory over previous
years. Houses are staying on the market
longer.

We continue to see a steady
flow of new listings onto the
market. The red line shows
new listings to the market in
Boulder County on a weekly
basis.

week. Following the same trend as
previous years 2017 saw a distinct
drop after memorial day but lacked
the bounce back of previous
summers.

Through the end of July
sales are down 4% from
2016 and down 14%
from 2015.
8. My View of the Market
Current Trends in the Market:
A noticeable and continuous increase in inventory throughout the year.
In accordance with previous years sales dropped significantly following
Memorial Day but lacked the recovery past years have experienced
resulting in a slow summer that began earlier than usual.
Price appreciation has slowed in comparison to earlier years as a result of
an increased supply and decreased demand.
We will have to look at the data from the beginning of fall in order to see
if these changes are a change in the market or solely a normal seasonal
variance.
