Botswana is a former British colony in Africa that gained independence in 1966. It has had one of the fastest growing economies on the continent due to being a major diamond producer. However, the country faces a major challenge from HIV/AIDS - Botswana has the second highest infection rate in the world at 24.1% of the population. The government has implemented various stages of response, beginning with eliminating transmission through blood and focusing on awareness programs, and now targeting prevention, education, and providing antiretroviral treatment through a national program. Despite these efforts, HIV/AIDS remains a serious problem.

Drolb gained many followers who helped spread the religion, which involves worshipping children and releasing sins through defecation rituals. The Namuh view reproduction as unpleasant due to painful physical traits, and the Tnias elders strictly control who mates and raises children. Central to Namuhism are elaborate defecation rituals and areas used for releasing sins, with different layers assigned based on one's age and social status. Violating these rituals carries severe executions involving being pushed into the bottomless pit of sins.

World Vision Romania launched the "Good Mothers, Healthy Babies" campaign to raise awareness about health and nutrition problems faced by mothers and children in rural areas and reduce infant mortality. Research found issues like anemia in mothers and babies and a lack of education around breastfeeding and childcare. The campaign aimed to inform the public through TV, print, online media and blogs, garner celebrity endorsements, and fundraise to help mothers and children access medical services. Over four months, the campaign generated over 150 news articles and social media posts, reached over 23 million people, and raised 14,600 euro to provide educational seminars to rural mothers.
The Effects Of Aids On Swaziland
Swaziland has the highest HIV/AIDS prevalence rate in the world at 26.1% of adults. As a result, life expectancy has dropped to only 31.88 years and there are over 70,000 orphaned children. The spread of HIV/AIDS in Swaziland is largely driven by polygamy and cultural stigma surrounding HIV status, which prevents many from getting tested or disclosing their status. The government has tried to address the epidemic through prevention programs, testing initiatives, and behavior change campaigns, but Swaziland remains the worst affected country.

HIV/AIDS has had a devastating impact in many African countries. In Botswana, life expectancy has dropped to just 39 years due to the high HIV prevalence rate of nearly 39%. The loss of many working-age adults threatens Botswana's economy. However, Brazil has had success in combating HIV/AIDS through prevention campaigns, free treatment programs, and producing generic antiretroviral drugs. Brazil is now helping other African countries like Botswana by sharing its expertise and experience.

Marama Pala Ngātiawa ki Kapiti, Kaiwhakahaere/Executive Director (INA), an HIV positive Māori woman, plans to promote the visibility of Indigenous People’s HIV and AIDS issues; to increase the support from local, regional and international Indigenous people.
“History shows us that HIV is not openly discussed at Indigenous conferences. It’s an issue that gets left off the agenda.” says Marama Pala, “Even though Indigenous Peoples experience high rates of HIV and AIDS, it needs to be made visible at all Indigenous conferences and gatherings. It’s time that all Indigenous peoples became aware that we are a marginalised community vulnerable to HIV”
Indigenous people globally continue to under represented in HIV prevention, research, policy and funding initiatives, and this contributes to ongoing HIV disparities and resource allocation. The stigma within Indigenous communities further marginalises this health issue, making it difficult to discuss.
“I hope am able to stress the importance of HIV, speaking openly about HIV and facing the stigma of HIV with my Indigenous and aboriginal brothers and sisters” urges Marama. “Silence No More...for the sake of my HIV negative children; we need to eliminate stigma and discrimination and make our people safe.”

By 2000, over 34 million people worldwide were living with HIV/AIDS, with 95% residing in developing nations. Responses have included prevention education programs, working to increase access to low-cost treatment, and addressing underlying social and economic factors that increase risk. One such program is the National Highway One Project in Vietnam, which aims to reduce transmission along major transport routes through community outreach and encouraging behavior change.

In this document, James Ward discusses ongoing high rates of STIs among Aboriginal communities in Australia and potential strategies to address health inequalities. He notes STIs remain difficult to discuss and are particularly impacting remote areas. Recent initiatives discussed include the Young Deadly Free campaign promoting education and testing, national sentinel surveillance of testing coverage through ATLAS, and a national survey of Aboriginal youth knowledge and behaviors called GOANNA. Precision public health approaches using genomic and health services data are also proposed. Ward advocates for empowering Aboriginal leadership and centering community-based approaches to enable strength-based and culturally appropriate STI control.
Phase 3 Hope For Venezuelan Refugees COVID-19 Response Efforts
The document summarizes a Rotary project that provided food assistance and COVID-19 supplies to refugees and migrants in Colombia. It distributed 31 tons of locally purchased food and 647,136 meals to 11 food distribution centers and 7 communities in Cúcuta and 6 shelters and 3 centers in Pamplona over 41 weeks. 50,090 meals and 11,059 kg of food were distributed total. The project also provided bags of food and hygiene supplies as well as PPE, masks, cleaning and disinfectant supplies to help prevent COVID-19 spread. The project helped address food insecurity and promoted local economies and peace in the region experiencing the largest migrant exodus in Latin American history from Venezuela.

Abstract
One way to achieve optimal use of development aid funds is to capitalize on the low-cost human resources through the humanitarian spirit found among students and teacher volunteers in developed nations. Effective programs that employ volunteer teacher trainers, student workers, and health care volunteers can bolster professional development of teacher and student work experience in local communities, thereby meeting part of people's basic needs in developing countries. Such low-cost, cooperative efforts can energize the professional and international work expertise of both the local native people and the visiting volunteers
This presentation describes how a volunteer international service program had and is having a positive effect on building a community health service in a rural Cameroon village in West Africa, a project founded and run by the late Phyllis Jansyn. Discussion of how similar programs can be established and maintained. Further, some guidelines for planning volunteer programs, recruiting volunteers, and implementing a volunteer training program are outlined. Finally, ways to assist local government offices, community welfare organizations and local schools to meet their some of the manpower needs through cooperation with foreign education ministries, teacher training institutions, professional education organizations, and in cooperation with individuals in developed countries are proposed.

While the coronavirus has indiscriminately hit most countries of the world, its impact has been disproportionately felt by the most vulnerable in society, including those receiving long-term care. In Europe alone, it is estimated that up to half of the total number of coronavirus deaths have occurred in long-term care facilities. In order to ensure that our older population is sufficiently protected while still receiving the care they need, will countries have to urgently rethink and adjust how long-term care is provided?
