A scripting language allows control of software applications, and boolean search strings we create to access data within applications meet this definition. While boolean is a data type, the search strings we program to access information are a type of programming language. Realizing boolean search strings are a programming language emphasizes why being able to effectively create them is so important for sourcing skills.
