The document provides background information on ancient Rome and its rise as an empire. It discusses how Rome's geographic location along the Tiber River in the Italian peninsula, protected by the sea and Alps mountains, was important to its economic, social, and political development. This protected location allowed Rome to expand unopposed and engage in thriving sea trade. The legend of Romulus and Remus founding Rome on the Palatine Hill is also mentioned. Maps show Rome's location and trade routes throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean world that contributed to Rome's growth as a major power.
How does the Bible's record connect with today's news about the Middle East? Who has the rightful ownership to the land claimed by Israel and why? Find out what modern day people can learn about our place in the world's history.
This presentation shows that the drama of sacred and secular history and prophecy is God's answer to those who question His right to rule the earth.
1) Ancient Egyptians believed in many gods and goddesses that represented natural elements and forces.
2) They believed the first god, Atum, coughed out Shu and Tefnut, who then had Geb and Nut, representing earth and sky.
3) Osiris and Isis ruled as king and queen of earth until Seth killed Osiris out of jealousy, leading to battles between Seth and Osiris' son Horus for the throne.
1) Perseus was born from Zeus taking the form of golden rain to impregnate Danae, who was imprisoned by her father King Acrisius.
2) Perseus grew up on the island of Seraphos and was tasked by King Polydectes with bringing back the head of Medusa to avoid protecting his mother Danae.
3) With the help of Hermes and Athena, Perseus was able to slay Medusa by using an invisible helmet and viewing her reflection to avoid turning to stone. He later used Medusa's head to turn others to stone.
I. uzdevums: izanalizē Aspazijas dzejoļus!
„Jel dodat milzeņa domu man,
Lai veldzē tā dzīvi no jauna,
Un brīvu darbību atverat… ”
„ Jel dodat milzeņa domu man…
…Dodat man tikai ilgas vēl…
„Mani spārni nes, man rokās spēks,

The ideal Greek hero was a nobleman distinguished by bravery and merit in war, where they could demonstrate excellence and win glory. Myths featured gods and goddesses while legends centered on human heroes from a golden age when men and gods interacted. Common motifs in heroic myths included miraculous births, journeys, rewards for valor, responsibility for a friend's death, and great strength. Some major Greek heroes included Perseus who killed the Gorgon Medusa, Heracles who performed twelve labors, and Theseus who slew the Minotaur.

Dlaczego mitologia?
Mit to opowieść, legenda o otaczającym świecie, próbująca wyjaśnić zagadnienia dotyczące złożonych zjawisk.
Mity wiążą rzeczywistość i wyobrażenia.
Jaka mitologia?
