Steve Joined BNI in Williamstown in November 2012 (chapter founded Feb 2013) as a Marketing Consultant using his West2East Recreation ABN Steve is based in Footscray (City of Maribyrnong), Melbourne (City of Melbourne) and in the ‘naughties’ he previously worked as the Recreation & Culture Manager at the City of Rockingham in WA (good) and Leisure Policy & Planning Coordinator at Brimbank City Council (bad & ugly!). Steve's burning desire is to: to have fun and do good – help 1000+ small business clients across Australia & beyond before I lay the tools down! Something not many people know about him: I got my Security Licence at start of Jan 2010 and haved worked at the MCG & Caulfield on weekends ever since – initially it helped a ‘single dad’ pay the rent, but now it’s a nice source of pocket money His key to success: determine what success looks like for you, then be relentless in the pursuit of it – sticking to your business values and purpose

My wife is Huong, we met at Monash, and I've got three fantastic kids; Finn (27) who’s now a teacher at Warrnambool High School, Tatum (25), who’s working in care services and the little champion, Oliver who’s a second grader at West Footscray PS. Most of our extended family is in Perth WA & Hanoi VN I'd like to foster a greyhound (but currently have 2 goldfish), I play beach volleyball competitively and go alright for my age. I also spend a good chunk of my weekends at the MCG and am part of Hillsong church. --- - Joined BNI after completing MMktg whilst a single dad Met Huong at Monash First/ only referral was Anya’s Music School – was enough for me to renew By the time I moved chapter (BNI Yarra) I’d worked internally with 80% of chapter Finn & Tatum all grown up Huong just joined ANZ Paying off mortgage as fast as possible while taking holidays !

Used to listen to Triple J in their twenties & thirties) - bloody good at providing their professional, essential and or online business services - are passionate about what they do - a bit worried about the 'new kids on the block' competitors with their fancy phones, computers and social medias (they’re unlikely to have heard of TikTok) - based in Melbs, Perth or Freo, Radelaide, Brissy and Sydney thru our BNI network - have heard of BNI but aren’t necessarily members (usually because they’re 'too busy', don’t like the early mornings and or the rigid structure) - don’t know what they don’t know about social media, but are open to exploring if they don’t have to do themselves (and if they’re not going to get bled by some dodgy digital guru. (*Side note. Aside from the fact that Marketers love their Ps, Dify Steve’s uncle and aunt’s names are Peter & Peta and they built and ran the Wooramel Roadhouse in WA for many years.
