This document provides contact times and cleaning instructions for various disinfectants. SaniZide is effective against norovirus in 30 seconds and HIV in 1 minute. PDI wipes are effective against HIV, HBV and HCV in 2 minutes. Bleach solutions must remain wet on surfaces for 5-10 minutes depending on the pathogen. Proper cleaning of high-touch areas in ambulances such as handrails and restraints is recommended to prevent cross-contamination between patients.

Surface MUST remain wet for entire contact time!
 Noro Virus / Rabies: 30 seconds
 HIV: 1 Minute
 SARS / Avian Flu: 2 Minutes
 Rhino / Rotavirus: 3 Minutes
 HBV / HCV / Bovine virus: 5 Minutes
 Fungicidal / HAV: 10 Minutes

 All other organisms listed on label: 3 Minutes

6. Bleach 6%

7. BLEACH
Pre-clean Gross Contamination with Simple Blue
Surface MUST remain wet for entire contact time!
 HIV: 5 Minutes
 HBV / HCV: 10 Minutes
 Mix with Water: 2 oz. Bleach with 18 oz. water
= 1:10 Bleach solution
 Solution is effective for no more than 24 hours
