CHALLENGE: Conduct a FULLY DIGITAL Workshop for 2 MBA batches ending in an Investor
Presentation ala SHARK TANK http://www.forbes.com/sites/susanadams/2016/03/18/ten-of-the-
best-businesses-to-come-out-of-shark-tank/#3f5906545015 . The challenge was that the students
had to simulate a globally distributed team, so could communicate mainly using SuperChat (as they
would using WhatSapp, Skype..etc)
PROCESS: The 2 batch years were split into 5 separate teams, who had to choose a Business Idea
and collaboratively create a business model and Investor pitch using

SuperChat rather than Face 2 Face Group Discussions only.
SO WHAT HAPPENED AT THE WORKSHOP?:
A student was nominated as “SuperAdmin” for the overall Lavasa Campus app and assisted the
visiting Prof. The SuperAdmin ensured that ALL the 70 students who volunteered to take the
workshop used ALL the 3 digital tools. 8 Groups were formed with team leaders as the superadmins
for each of the 8 “Start-Up” teams, so they could prepare for the “SHARKTANK Investor
presentations” using the tool.
SuperChat ensured that not only did the students collaborate with each other , but they also found
the Polling and Note draw features most useful. The overall conclusion was that the SuperChat app
was useful
For Prof.’s and Students to organise their daily work/ assignments / Tutorials / Seminars /
Competitions in addition to daily administration of the college.
CONCLUSION: Using the app enables BOTH the faculty and students to Do a DAILY POLL as the
syllabus is covered, such that wherever a topic requires MORE instruction, it would be known
immediately.
Furthermore, the app enables scarce resources ( Good Prof.’s ) to be able to become available for
Q & A to ANY student taking any subject across the Universities 3 campuses.
This is also useful for T-T-T and for Induction of new faculty.The shared learnings if archived, also
become part of the college’s knowledge repository.
