After opening Photoshop and creating a new canvas, the document provides instructions on how to add multiple images to the canvas by opening, resizing, copying and pasting images. 2. After opening the Adobe Photoshop,
click on the most left tab named “File”
and choose “New”

3. To make a header change into the
following;
Name: Header
Width: 1200 pixels
Height: 240 pixels
Resolution: 72 pixels
A window will appear.
Here you can change the preset for your canvas.

4. .. and you will get a white blank canvas
looking like this..

5. Next step, we are going to add pictures to the
canvas.
Move mouse over to “File” and click “Open”

6. Pick an image of your choice.

7. Your image will be opened in new tab.

8. Next, we are going to change the size of the image.
Go to “Image” and click on “Image Size…”

9. A window “Image Size” will appear.
Here you change the size of the image. This
step requires you to experiment with the width
and height of the image.
Keep trying until you get the best size.

10. I have tried few other sizes and end up with
the following as the best.
This, however, will depend on the original size
and quality of your image.

(You can zoom in by pressing “ctrl” and “+” at
the same time.)
Next, click “Marque tool” and then select the
area of the image that you want. Note the
dotted rectangle that appears on the image.
(This function is similar to crop function in
simpler image editing apps.)

12. Go to “Edit” and click “Copy”.

13. Click on “Header” tab previously.
Go to “Edit” and click “Paste”.

14. Click on the “Move” tool to allow you to
move the image accordingly.

15. Move the image around until you are satisfied.

16. Add another image and repeat the resizing
until paste step.
Change the opacity according to
preference. This will produce an
overlapping image as shown.

17. Open another new image.
Select the “Lasso” tool and start selecting the
image you preferred and copy.

18. Paste to “Header” tab and move according
to your preference.

19. Repeat the same for another image.

20. Now, we are almost finish. Click “File” and
choose “Save” to save your project.

21. Name your project with the name that is
related or easy to remember.
Note that the type of file will be in
“Photoshop (*.PSD; *.PPD)” format. This
format will allow you to make change
later on.
Click “Save”.

22. Next click “Save As…”

23. Choose file type “PNG”.
This format will allow you to view the
image normally without using Adobe
Photoshop.
It is also the format that is best to be
used in websites.
You can now use the image you just
produced as header for your website!
