Najpopularniejsza gra na Youtube i Twitch odbiła się szerokim echem nie tylko wśród graczy, ale też osób na co dzień niezainteresowanych tą wirtualną rozrywką. Kto nie zetknął się z wypromowanym przez grę Floss Dance?
Masowy wpływ produkcji na młodą grupę graczy i ich otoczenie rzuca nowe światło na temat gier online. Fortnite stał się bardzo ważnym elementem kultury młodych, którzy nie tylko chcą spędzać w świecie gry każdą wolną chwilę, ale też wynoszą jej elementy do życia offline. Atrakcyjność Fortnite wynika z nowatorskiej formy, która łączy elementy gry, widowiska sportowego, animowanej bajki, której fabuła ciągle odgrywa się na nowo oraz nowego medium społecznościowego. Gra pozwala bowiem grupom rówieśników z całego świata zarówno na wchodzenie w rolę uczestników zabawy, jak i obserwatorów z możliwością komentowania wydarzeń związanych z grą (i nie tylko).

Popularność gier komputerowych już dla nikogo nie jest sensacją. Natomiast mało kto spodziewał się, że staną się one takim zagrożeniem dla innych branż. Okazuje się, że tak naprawdę wszyscy producenci rozrywki rywalizują o to samo – atencję ze strony użytkownika, którą z kolei można zmonetyzować: samemu lub z udziałem marketerów. W czasie prezentacji zgłębimy sukces gry „Fortnite” i tego, jak zmieniła zasady gry w marketingu gamingowym i jak stała się fenomenem popkulturowym.

Gry online od zawsze miały potężną moc skupiania wokół siebie społeczności, ale odkąd postęp technologiczny (szybki internet i tanie komputery) zdemokratyzował streaming online możemy zaobserwować zupełnie nowe zjawisko. Tysiące graczy z całego świata prowadzi równolegle transmisje, a miliony odbiorców ogląda je na żywo na platformach takich jak Twitch albo Youtube Gaming. Z jednej strony obserwujemy gigantyczną popularność i oglądalność streamingów z rozgrywek esportowych (każdy mecz Virtus.pro to olbrzymi wybuch interakcji w polskim internecie), która przyciąga uwagę nawet mainstreamowych telewizji. Z drugiej nawet wokół stosunkowo mało popularnych gamingowych „casterów” czy „streamerów” tworzą się mikrospołeczności, które charakteryzują się własnym językiem, specyficznymi zachowaniami i rytuałami. A także bardzo specyficzne produkty spełniające ich potrzeby (np. chęć oglądania dokładnie tej samej sekundy streamu ze znajomymi z drugiego końca świata). Przyjrzymy się im bliżej, żeby zobaczyć w jaki sposób takie mikrospołeczności się tworzą, co motywuje ich członków i czego możemy się dzięki nim nauczyć o przyszłości interakcji online. W naszej prezentacji odpowiemy na pytania: w jaki sposób wokół treści nadawanych live tworzą się mikrospołeczności, jakie nowe interakcje możemy w nich zaobserwować, czym różnią się od „zwykłych” interakcji znanych z mediów społecznościowych, jakie specyficzne cechy je charakteryzują oraz dlaczego warto się im przyglądać.
