This document contains an agenda for parallel sessions on the topic of blockchain applications in education. There are two time blocks listed, with sessions occurring from 13:30-14:30 and 15:00-16:00. Each time block contains 7 concurrent sessions taking place in different rooms. The sessions will discuss topics such as using blockchain to store learning outcomes, educational financing via blockchain, legal aspects of blockchain in education, credentialing and open badges, using semantic blockchain for diplomas, determining if blockchain answers educational questions, and paving the way from eportfolios to blockchain. Presenters include specialists from various universities and organizations.

Self-Sovereign Identities and the Enabeling of Reliance on Third Party Data A consortium of researchers, technicians and business people
from different organizations have been working on a framework that enables end-users to control their identity-related data, and service
providers to obtain verified claims about the end-users from a variety of third parties, for the purpose of conducting electronic (business)
transactions (EBTs). This framework is called the SSIF (Self-Sovereign Identity Framework). In this session, we present the backgrounds of
the SSIF, which are firmly rooted in proven models and technologies, as well as a novel way of addressing terminological issues (semantics).
We invite you to discuss with us about the merits (and drawbacks) of the framework, as well your readiness and willingness to participate
in experiments that aim to improve the ways in which EBTs are done currently, and come up with new kinds of EBTs that were not possible
before. *Because of the complexity of the subject, we would like the audience to already know the basics of blockchain, identity, semantics
and service architectures.

Financing educational real estate: completely via blockchain.

In The Netherlands, schools do not seek private means to finance their real estate. Instead, obtaining financing is a complex process that
requires orchestration of school, local government and central government (both finance and education department as well as audit
courts). The Ministry of Finance has led a project in which this process has been completely isolated in a blockchain. Not only has the initial
phase of achieving consensus and subsequently granting the loan been modelled and implemented, also the following phase of using these
funds and the reporting/auditing that follows. Result is a prototype that acts as proof of technology and that could later be used as a
bootstrap for adopting blockchain technology in inter-governmental financial processes. In this session I will guide you through our
process, our solution and how exactly we went about this.
